I am trying to buy reserved tickets to the Carlton/Richmond game now on ticketek website however you need to enter a barcode number. I am a member but do not have my card on me. Do you need to be a member to puchase tickets today?

I just called Carlton and the lady said that only memberships with a 16 game option including away games can purchase tickets today. Silly me!

Tickets for the 11 game memberships go on sale next Monday.

Go Blues!

Just bought AFL reserve...???????

Could only get level 4 Q16...
Gave all the other area options and when you chioose would just say."no tickets available for that request"
I was only after 4 seats - 3 members and a guest...would it be THAT sold out within 20 min of sale this morning....?????
If this isn't a sell out I'll be P*****ff

Bill - just purchased 3 tix...M25. N wasn't an option like it was last year. Perhaps they'll release N (second level) on game day as walk-up. They don't always release the best seating first in the AFL members - I expect to see rioting this year based on the information we've been given thus far for their plans for AFL members in 2009.

When I checked this morning at 9am I had the option of every level for 4 tickets. Ended up getting P16( level 2A ).

May be a different story if you walk into an outlet. You may have a better choice to choose from!

Should of waited a week, it appears that they are selling top deck first

morons running this, you'd assume that they would sell bottom first

F(*^&%^$&

I was on at about 9:15...no way could I get 4 tickets anywhere except by choosing the "Reserved seats" option and that would automatically give me level 4.
All other options would give -"no tickets available for this request"

As I said, these were AFL members tickets so I was only paying for the upgrade - reserved seat (approx $5)...not purchasing tickets outright.
You guys that got tickets in the same boat??
I'm jumping on it again to see what the hell>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yep done it....

Can buy 4 guest passes on level M but can't get 4 reserved seats....
also the reserved seat upgrade seems to have disappeared completely in the selection BUT the error still appears that I have not selected it for the members...

WTF...at 1:30??
Well there seems to be no way that I can get a reserved seat now, (I've tried just about every combination as a FULL AFL member) BUT I can by a guest a reserved seat .... :sly: :screwy:
PITA

I'm not all that disappointed with M25 as the wife and I are showing someone the game for the first time so it's a good atmosphere in there. What I've now realised is that the AFL want you to book your tickets at an outlet - they said so themselves when figures showed them that 40% of fans did it this way. I won't be doing it via the internet again...I mean - fancy using the internet to purchase tickets?

Post subject:  Re: Reserved seat tickets for round 1

The whole thing is a crock. I argued with with AFL and ticketmaster aabout 5 years ago over being charged $11 to reserve a seat ($5.50 resever seat and $5.50 ticketfast) and was told the costs in setting up the online printing system meant booking tickets over the internet they had to pass the cost on...despite the fact it would cost more to employ someone to sit at the outlet. Miraculously within two years that cost had come down enough they could scrap one of the charges and it only cost $5.50.

Is this right? Ticketek for MCG games and Ticketmaster for TD or Etihaid or Docklands (whatever they are going to called) games this year. Will be confusing finals time.
