Big believer in this. It will be the kids really stepping up that will be the difference between finishing around 8th, and finishing around the top 4. I reckon the following look like exploding in 2009... Betts - was very, very good early last weekend. Looks the fittest he's ever been at this time of the year. Grigg - his development has been astonishing. Looks like he could exceed many peoples expectations and go on to be a total gun. Gibbs - don't think I need to say much here. The kid had the ball on a string in the Centre last weekend, and uses it beautifully, with poise to boot. Jamison - Ratten said yesterday he expects Jamo to step it up big time this year. Walker (if fit) - apparently was flying in pre-season, and was starting to show really good signs last year, finding the ball with ease using his extraordinary tank, and looking dangerous when shifted up forward. Bower and Russell also look like they might step it up in 2009. Bower still looks like he could add a few more kilos to the upper body, so 2010 might be the year he REALLY comes of age. Many fans still question Russell's ability, but there's no arguing the fact he has developed in the last 12 months as a defensive HFF. 2009 might see him come out of his shell even more. Warnock is the other one. While there's no doubt his best is a few years off, just his sheer size could mean he has an instant impact for us in 2009, if he gets on the park. Ratten seems desperate to get him into the team. |

Hadley will be like a new recruit if he gets his body right. |

Plus it also depends how Robbo and Yarran can perform in their first year. And Houla will also be important |

Other than Judd and Fev, we have no decent players. BomberBlitz, BF, Saintsational, Nick's and anybody in the media who talks about it, all told me so. They can't ALL be wrong surely ![]() |
