I may aswell introduce myself like: "Hi, I'm Jahna I barack for Carlton"

At the pub with a beer and new associates do you just itch to get AFL on the conversation list?

I am not myself in the off-season I feel like I am in limbo...only when the season starts do i return to normality....

Is anyone else as tragic? or maybe I'm just an out right bogan...

The season is getting so close that I have nervous stomach...

I think when you are positive that it will be mentioned at your funeral then you know how much a part of you it is.

Always wondered if they'll play the song for me...probably

It's written into my will to play the song along with "You'll never walk alone" at my funeral, oh and a solar powered mp3 player attached to my grave playing both songs on repeat.

Mjonc and Carlton are like peas in a pod for people who know me.

Sure do. I'm hard to buy for so the safe option is Carlton or Liverpool

Even my mates all pitched in one day to buy me a framed copy of the 1st Wooden Spoon team of 2002. Pricks

After every single person I know had a go about Setanta on Friday at Me, I'd say yes...

My family, friends, clients & associates know that I barrack for the undisputedly greatest team on earth. There's no way known they could argue against that; they know better.

Like mjonc...a safe bet is to get me something Carlton when it comes to presents.

Cheers boys, we're not alone.

I both get and give Carlton Presents and when the recipients express shock at the fact that they dont barrack for Carlton - I say give it back to me I have someone that can use it.

i think it is.

for as long as i can remember i used to wait for dad to come home from the footy. id see him pull in the driveway and wait at the door and ask "did we win?" as soon as he came in. if he said 'yes' that was all i needed. when i was deemed old enough to actually go to the footy it was the biggest thrill. initially we'd go to the MCG and Waverley only because dad used to stand behind the goals at princes park and i wouldnt have been able to see.

'93 was my first game, the draw between us and Essendon*. '95 vs the Bears was my first trip to Princes Park. after having been to the bigger grounds Princes Park was a really weird experience, one that i didnt fully understand. But, like all of us, you quickly understand it's importance. It's our home. at the MCG or Waverley i'd have opposition supporters having a bit of a go at me, the young kid in his carlton jumper. Even though they were just kidding it was something that just didnt happen at Princes Park.

because i was so young i would only sporadically go in '93 and '94, i went to pretty much every home and away game in '95 and ever since have gone each week weve played in Victoria.

i think, like a lot of us here, i made it a part of my identity. if anyone wants to get me offside or have a dig one of the first places they go is Carlton. They know they probably wont get the response they want, but they know for certain its something im passionate about. They know it will elicit some sort of response.

Princes Park. The Navy Blue. The Monogram. Sticks, Braddles, SOS, Kouta. It's part of what we are. It is who we are.

nahhhh i don't.............but i'm pretty one eyed about our Blues.........!

i'm sorry.........but the only time they're "my" Blues is when i'm
talking to opposition supporters............when i'm with my fellow
Blues brethren.......they're "our" Blues..........!

I take it personally when a supporter of one of the 15 lesser clubs insults Carlton...so I'd say yes.

All of the above. Except for You'll Never Walk Alone.

I've left instructions with my best mate for my ashes to be scattered over the hallowed turf at PP after I go, if he outlives me.

I like meeting people, introducing myself and quickly adding that i'm a Carlton supporter. It makes me feel superior, like i'm a Carlton supporter and you are not, so sucked in!! Coz really, we know it and the opposition supporters know it, Carlton is the best.

Sure is.

And I do itch to bring it up in conversations as soon as I can. So much so that when I was going for a summer internship last year relating to my degree (so my first 'career job' so to speak) at a very large multi-national company, it was the first thing out of my mouth in the interview when the company partner asked me about my 'interests'.

As it turned out, he was also a Carlton supporter so we got around to having a nice two minute chat about Carlton

And yes, I did get the job so thank Carlton for that!

Everything about me is Carlton, and i know at my funeral, without my request, they would drape a carlton flag on the coffin.

My whole life revolves around carlton. Me not attending a wedding because i was watching my blues is understable by everyone.

Yeah my friends know it too. I was a Bridesmaid last year and it was on the night of our Essendon* game.....they all knew I would rather be home watching it. The father of the bride even jokingly mentioned it in his speech "I'm surprised she hasn't snuck out to listen to it in the car"...little did he know it hadn't started yet but that wasn't the point at the time....everyone giggled. And yes, I did later go out and listen to it :smoking:
