Unfortunately M&D have been invited back to work with carltonfc.com.au in 2009, and to celebrate, we were given the chance to interview Brett Ratten in what ranks as a highlight of our collective careers. It should be up on site by Thursday morning, but in the interim, which two 1995 Premiership Players would you guess Brett Ratten would add to the current list if he could? |

Great question! Going on what our needs are right now, IMHO we must go with the two K's, Kernahan and Kouta. Sticks giving us forward firepower and leadership up front and Kouta because he could play anywhere. Looking forward to seeing other suggestions. |

Silvagni and Pearce? (I only say the latter because he'd be a nice side kick to Fevola, on his 1995 form guide, and I reckon Kernahan would demand the ball too much making Fevola's need obsolete). Don't need Madden because we have Warnock. Maybe the other one would be Diesel, because his extractor capabilities would free Juddy up more on the outside. But i reckon more firepower is a more pressing need and I half wonder if one of Ratten's answers is a surprise. |

Based on our currrent list I would have Harry and Sticks. We need a dominant ruckman to feed our mids and help Krooz. Sticks would compliment Fev perfectly. They would never be outmarked and if the ball hit the ground, Yarran, Betts, Houlihan, Garfield would mop it up! Mind you watching Ratts kick the ball today he would be awesome along side Judd. ![]() |

Was the Qn asked with specific reference to their form in 1995, ie: where they were at at their career in 1995? Or was it more about the player in general? Pearce had an excellent 1995 and is the sort of player we need right now to play alongside Fevola. However, as we all know too well he struggled in other years and eventually became an injury wreck before he was 30. Based on 1995 only, and based on our current needs Pearce would be ideal in my view. But if it's more about the player in general, then I would probably go with either SOS and Diesel, or SOS and Kouta. |

Kerna and Kouta Assuming we have covered Diesel with Hadley and Judd covers for Bradley and Browne (not together). Yarran will be better than Pearce. SOS at FB would be the only other one I would add to Kerna and Kouta. |

if it was from the 95 premiership side, you'd take Kouta over sticks any day. Peter Dean might get a look in too |

I'd love Big Earl Spalding busting open some packs in the forward line with Eddie and Yarran mopping up crumbs. Secondly SOS if allowed to play by 1995 rules although I'm sure he would have adjusted his game for the modern interpretation of hands in the back and arm chopping. Feel bad about leaving out Diesel, Dean, Sexton, Sticks, Brown, Harry......ah what a line up 95 was! |

People I think you are missing the obvious here. Ratts was obviously referring to himself and someone else. ![]() |

..definately kouta and sos, both because of their awesome versatility.. ..sos great down back but also had great form as a forward.. ..and kouta for also being able to go forward and back, and also his centre work.. |

- Sticks : would solve our glaring forwardline problem - Diesel : one of the all time greats....you just can't leave him out Kouta and SOS would be handy mind you. |
