I wrote a thread the other day stating that "I hope we come last" now my reasoning is simple I can not see any other way around our situation than to get the picks and take it from there.

However I will be the first to admit that I am no expert on AFL even though I have followed the sport and this club since a young age

My question is to those who oppose my thinking which there have been a few, whats the alternative to my thinking

The system rewards the teams that finish low on the ladder.

That is there for teams like us.

We cant change the system.

Its a case of fancying yourself as a better punter on later picks high up in the draft or getting more choice and more picks lower in the draft.

While the high picks Richmond and Hawthorn had in 2004 arent the whole reason they are playing better, they area major part of the reason.

We need a similar injection of talent to improve. The only way we can best do that is to bottom out.

The last time i heard we had 38 listed AFL player or 37 you telling me these guys are getting paid good money to do nothing? These players should get their hands of their dicks and play hard football even if they take out a few players with injuries. This team can win,i know they can ,dont listen to this garbage, they keep blaming everytime they lose, the coach and the papers talking about draft picks,young list they just needs to be pushed,the club is too soft,it's to afraid to get players upset i reckon.

Well we are second last on the ladder now and we could be last next week if Collingwood win and we lose.

If that isnt a good enough incentive for our players then we dont have the cattle. You can go on week after week saying that the players can do better and have them lose all the time. You have to accept the reality that they are bad at some point.

The Adelaide match is indeed a test of this. If there was a match where we had to pull our fingers out and grab a win, this would be it.
