the boys looked fantastic with that logo....really made them look good.

Carrazzo adds another dimension to our team....if his disposal was better he would be a star.

Fev's disposal is top shelf. Continuously hits people on the chest... who ever said he is a lead marker and nothing more.....watch the way he threw his body in to the pack and took what looked like a simple mark in the end...fantastic by The Shag...

Eddie Betts....the name says it all....what a little gun.

id like to see that No.2 of ours getting out there soon, aswell as that No.17...

as has been said...we dont need to "tank" games....we simply arent good enough to win any anyways....dont care if we get another spoon...we need to inject 3-4 quality players through the draft and that all important best uncontracted player through the PSD....
trade week this year should be a big time for us.....if we arent very active during trade week then the recruiting staff are dicks....

thats all ive got....
cheers

Kouta..............if i could, i would have your babies!

Seriously, did anybody else cry when he picked up that ball at the end of the game!

THE LAST CAPTAIN TO EVER LEAD THE TEAM OFF PRINESS PARK!
An honour that Kouta fully deserves!

A workmate said to me that Collingwood has a better team than us because they are just held back because of their inhuries.

After today, I agree.

On form right now we are wooden spooners.

We wont need to tank games.

However, having said this, I think that the competition is more even than in previous years.

If we finish with a spoon, there wont be the yawning gap between 16th and the top teams like there was for us in 2002 / 2003.

I think that draft and trade period this year is critical. priority picks and first round pick plus the psd and whatever else could if done right be enough to let is do what Richmond has done to date (choosing my words carefully as I am aware of their ability to show promise and then crash and burn)

And we have no injuries? We've only played 22 players this season?

We've got just as damaging injuries as Collingwood do, ours just happen to be in the back half (Livo) rather than forward (Rocca).

How about Chambers, T-Lo, French today, Stevens is playing injured.....

I would have thought that Collingwoods injuries were more critical than ours - Buckley and Rocca for example.

There are plenty of others - 8 I think.

Not only is that more than us, it includes a lot more vital players.

Rocca and Buckley out is like Kouta and Fevola out - how would you like that?

I have two thoughts after today:

Thought Number 1: "Ryan Houlihan dont kick on your left foot."

Thought Number 2: "Bret Thornton dont handball."

We had Thornton AND Livo out at the start of the season...lost Fev, Scotto and Campo through suspension....Chambers and T-Lo are out injured. Lance is playing back simply because we don't have anyone else to plug the gaps down back....players are all over the shop, playing out of position.

We haven't had a stable team YET this year...

It's my opinion that a stable, yet undermanned team will play a better, more consistent type of footy than a team of superstars who are constantly being chopped and changed through suspension and injury.

These are the important players injured for Collingwood that I can think of:

Buckley
Rocca
Fraser
Woewodin
Richards

Our injuries don't even compare to theirs!

Like I said.....an undermanned but stable team will play better than a team which is constantly being chopped and chnged.

Still, with Woewodin in, they should be considered undermanned...

All those injuries you listed are long-terms....

Collingwood have more vital and experienced players out for longer periods than us.

But it is true, our team structure and stability has not been right this year at all.

Collingwoods team structure though has been pretty much polaxed for the whole season.

my main thought was how frustrating it is to watch their style of play into the forward line.

for the first three quarters the tactic was kick to fevola at chf even if he is swamped by 5 players. in the last quarter we looked at other options and lo and behold it freed up all players and we started kicking goals.

TEAM RULE FOR NEXT WEEK -

Only kick to Fevola if he is on the lead or with only one opponent.

Kick it to other forwards if they are on the fat side of the ground

don't be so damn predictable.

no disrespect Kouta...but u can't count T-lo as u put it on your injured list..cos even when he plays it would be better for the Blues to ahve him injured...

I'm not making a judgement on him as a player.. I haven't even seen him play. I was using it to back my point: An undermanned, yet stable team will play better than a team which is being chopped and changed and is functionally unstable.
