Where did we go wrong? Lack of intensity Lack of movement in the forward line to create space Lack of numbers presenting to HB line. Poor tackling yet again - being brushed off FAR too easily Small mobile forwards kill us. SAME thing every week... |

Lack of accountability. Far too many opposition players free inside their F50. Half forward line hopeless. How can we expect Fev to kick a bagful if there's a veritable wall blocking the ball coming up to him? SKILLS. Shocking. Even our most reliable were awful today. Kicks going over players, falling short, you name it. Turnovers cost us more than half the goals scored against us today. Crumbing. Repeat after me..."front and centre at marking contests, front and centre at marking contests, front and centre at marking contests, front and centre at marking contests, front and centre at marking contests, " Not enough forward movement when we have the ball.....our game plan is based around players streaming forward. Don't we have the confidence that we can keep moving forward, or do the players expect to lose the ball along the way? Once we did get that going, in the last, it looked GOOD. Why couldn't we do that in other parts of the match? |

Too many follow the ball and not their opponent. They're drawn to ballups when they should be also keeping an eye on their opponent. In the second qtr the ball was kicked into Melbourne's 50 - as the ball was dropping towards the two talls, Houlihan watched the ball and the crumb fell to Yze who missed the shot on goal. Houlihan should have been watching his opponent. He needs to know when to defend and when to attack. |

disposal. We didn't butcher it, we were worse. Three quarters of crap - fluffy little dinky taps over the top to noone, kicks to a 2 on 1 contest (against) and handballs to the guy under pressure. It was appalling. And then..... What? WTF happened? We play like it means something, finally, and it works. Quick diposal and clean hands finds fev on the lead - goal,. Bloody hell, why can't we do that each week? |

Vet i wouldn't take notice of anything in the last quarter. We were playing against a team who just wanted to go home and leave without injuries. |

If we persist with these tactics, I'm going to lose my mind. It's soul destroying to see us win the ball around the wing and time after time have nothing to kick to. The days of these tactics have passed, in my opinion. If any side was somehow to make it work, they'd need to be extremely highly skilled across the board - that is one thing this list of players will never be. At the very least give us a bloody chance to kick a score when the heat is on. I don't care how many runs he has on the board, surely Pagan can't escape tactical scrutiny for too much longer. Fix it Denis, it's broken. |

Maybe our injured players should stop wearing red jumpers at training . Because it seemed today we didn't want to tackle or hit the guys in the red jumpers |

I reckon this is pretty close to the mark. In a two on two contest so many times both our players go to the man with the ball, who gives it to the spare man, both our players go to the guy with the ball and never make it before he gives it back to the 1st guy.... |

A guy behind me summed it up beautifully when he said "if i made this many mistakes at my job, i'd be sacked'....These guys are professionals and are failing to do the basics....Once we get the basics right, then we have something to build on, but at the moment we have nothing...  ...As much as i adore the Carlton Football Club and will always stick by it and its players, but i think its time for another cleanout and time to make some hard calls because frankly what we've shown in the last 3 weeks has been disgraceful...

Ruckus - you think us going around the wings with dinky short passes is what Denis wants? Well, for the last 2 and 1/2 years, he's drilled corridor footy into the side, but it still isn't done properly. |

No marking power at CHF causing players to go wide or bomb the ball......cant play down the corridor when Fevola is your only target and he is double teamed....get a CHF who take consistent overheads and we might improve our overall play... |

Indeed. Lance has to get better in this regards, or get Waite in there. I believe he's got the body strength to do it, but drops too many. DeLuca could be a handy foil for Fev, but he's needed elsewhere while we have injuries. When Chambers and T-Lo return, we'll start getting stronger, as we will down back when Livo returns. |

EXACTLY!! Remebered there was an incident, the ball flew over 3 carlton players, and all 3 carlton players went for the ball, but the ball bounced backwards and bounced all over the 3 carlton players head and it went straight to a melbourne's player chest! GOD!! in that situation you only need 1 player to go for the ball and the other 2 can look back and perhaps protect the player who went for the ball! but no they all ran to the ball without looking behind at the same time!! dumb football!! |

Agree we play dumb, DUMB!!! footy. Why? Lack of confidence within each indivivual. Lack of confidence leads to poor disposal even when not under pressure Lack of physical strenght. Trying to hard, but not thinking though each play. Situational awareness is appalling. At the moment we as a team look like rabbits caught in the glare of a spotlight. |

If I see one of our players receive the ball and start running towards the opposition goals one more time, I'm going to go Postal. Campo does this all the time, Houla has also started to do it. We need to go forward not backwards. At Least Lappin and Kouta look to go in the right direction, although they have better vision than the rest of our guys. Disappointed, I truley hope this in not our game plan, it is killing us. |
