2009 promises to be an exciting year on the field for Carlton, but it also has marks some anniversaries from our past:

1999 - 10 Years Ago we played in our last Grand Final
In addition to the 1999 Prelim Win over Essendon*, Carlton lost our last grand final to North.

1979 - Carlton won the flag, but in the ensuing pre-season we lost both Jezza and Harris in a power struggle played out in public. One of our main writers, Warren, has put together this story about Jezza and harris's departure. This can be accessed from the homepage.

1939 - WW2 began and Carlton were going for 2 in a row

1909 - Carlton missed out on our 4th successive flag by 2 points. Again, a club power struggle would be played out.
