suggested date from the organisers on both sites is sunday, february 1. Any objections ??

we need to name the trophy...

I do not like "the warnock brothers tankard" because we do not know yet if one or both brothers will become long-term players at their respective clubs...

I prefer "the duke", named after earl spalding, who gave great service to both clubs, but I don't want to impose my will...

before giving people the opportunity to agree with me...

all posters welcome to put in their two cents' worth...

we won’t name the thing without agreement from both sites, but a decision will be needed by middle january…

i will register my tentative interest, dependant on cheap flights up and back.

at the moment i can get a good flight down for $55, but i wont book anything yet until the dates are locked in.

if i can get a cheap flight for about the same dosh then count me in.

so is it looking like the 8th? is that locked in so to speak?

anyway i'll be keen if i can get down for whatever dates it gets locked in for.

no its to do with public liability insurance and the AFLs reluctance to allow the public to play football games "representing" entities that belong to the AFL.

They do not wish to be sued for any injury that occurs during these games.
