this morning.

Lots of blahblahblah, but some specifics:

Will elevate 2 rookies immediately because we have no-one on the vets list. It'll be Pffeifer and....?

Jacobs skinfolds way down, training well, very pleased with him.

Very happy to get CJ2. Was unhappy with our execution of kickouts last season, and delivery of ball from backline. Sees him as a part of the solution.

Scotland has had adductor-release surgery and isn't coming back as well as they would've liked. Should be running by late Jan, so an interrupted pre-season (his first pre-season hiccup in years) will make it a bit harder for him. Pretty sure we'll see CJ2 slot into his spot from Round 1 based on that.

Said Betts had been doing it very hard in the forward line, being our only genuine crumber. Excited about getting Yarran and Garlett in there to add to the mix.

Loves Wiggo for what he brings off-field.

Plus all the usual stuff that every coach says in every interview.

Cheers JohnM.
It appears that Abductor Release surgery takes at least 9 months to fully recover from.......Judd only started to hit his straps late in the season whilst Akermanis publicly stated it took him about 9 months after his surgery in late 2002.
As Scotland is in his late 20's (turns 29 next year?) this may be quite a setback for him.

Also said Fishers elbow not as bad as first thought back in full training back end of Jan - liked that in the last 2 years -he has had about 50 shots for goal - said we need more contributors on the forward line other than fisher and fev- need crumbing assistance for Betts - forward structure will change depending on ground and opposition -mentioned walker kreuz cloke

Also remarked on bulking up of Gibbs et al

Glad to hear Ratts is happy with CJ, and knows exactly what role he will have to play for the club.

Bad news for Scotland, but great news for Anderson and the defensive youth brigade. 8)

With Chris Judd and Cordy at the club i think Scotland is in great hands. He will be back as strong as ever for the second half of the year at the very latest, just in time for the spankings we are about to return with interest.

The second half of 2009 should be something special.
