It is generally recognised that Simon Wiggins is the football equivalent of Kevin Rudd, perhaps even better than that. For sure he was given the equivalent of a massive budget surplus by being picked up by Carlton, and indeed Wiggins had to face the football equivalent of a global meltdown by joining Carlton at the worst possible time in our history, but this player - nay, lets say Footy God - deserves to be recognised in the second highest office in the land (and if he isnt going to be recognised as the highest in the land with the Carlton captaincy...damn that usurper in Judd)) then it should be incumbent upon all of us fair-minded citizens to push for the inclusion of Wiggins in the Tasmanian Hall of Fame.

I call my first witness - some text based website I found tonight.

http://au.geocities.com/sportandhistory ... ffame.html

Now this website proffers itself forward as a representative of the Tasmanian Hall of Fame. Now in here we find the following Carlton players:

Chris Bond
George Challis
John Chick
Berkley Cox
Brent Crosswell
Craig Davis
Jack Gardiner
Arthur Hodgson
Eric Huxtable
Peter Jones
Alan Leitch
Fred Pringle
Viv Valentine

Yet so sign of a Wiggins, not even a Patrick.

Second witness is the Blueseum which lists the following 100 gamers for Carlton:

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... %20Records

Jones, Huxtable, Chick, Valentine, WIGGINS, Cox, Sankey

And also the following Tasmanian Premiership players:

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... ip+Players

Challis, Valentine, Jones, Crosswell and Young.

Now if that doesnt serve as evidence that WIGGINS should be in the Tasmanian Hall of Fame, then you're a tough judge. WIGGINS joined Carlton at the proverbial hell-on-earth time yet has made it to 100 games, something that even Crosswell cant say (although AFL Premierships at 2 different clubs is something pretty dandy). So Wiggins joined at the wrong time yet ex-Blues like Bond who sullied themselves in purple and green get added?

The TIME IS RIGHT

We MUST BLOCKADE THE STATE OF TASMANIA until WIGGINS is rightly crowned as a Hall of Fame representative for the state of Tasmania.

if 103 games at the worst time in our history isnt enough to leap over Bond, Pringle and others, then I ask what the hell does the Hall of Fame stand for.

WIGGINS for TASMANIAN HALL OF FAME.
