It inside the Draft issue on inside footy.It has Beasy on a back pocket and says Justin Davies on a forward pocket. It have to be the same guy,pretty much to similiar,Davies was a forward pocket player and they played together. I'm sure they still good friends. Davies was from Shepparton,but not knowing Victoria,i wouldn't have a clue how far Swan Hill is from there.It's on page 36 3rd column ,2nd squad.

Justin Davies (born 5 July 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

He was recruited as the number 39 draft pick in the 2001 AFL Draft from Shepparton United. He made his AFL debut for the Carlton Football Club in Round 7, 2002 against Essendon*.

Justin played well, generally as a goalsneak, from debut, however he spent a lot of time playing for the Northern Bullants. A back injury sidelined Justin for the entire 2006 season, and he was delisted at season's end.

Davies confirmed in December 2006 he would return to his former club Shepparton United in the Goulburn Valley league.

For the 2008 season Davies will play for the Swan Hill Swans in the Central Murray Football League.

Good too see the guys have a bit of fun,would be both handy for the bullants.

As Rambo states, I believe Justin Davies played at Swan Hill with Beasy coaching.
From what I hear he has settled in there well with his family and is looking to play for Swan Hill again in 09.
Both had good seasons with Davies playing in the middle a fair bit and Beasy playing key back.

Too easy Callan Beasy!

Another one who teased with his huuge leap and natural ability. Have to feel sorry for the bloke as he is another to receive the Lowey kiss of death....

Having grown up near Swan Hill and now living in Shepparton I actually have nothing to add to this thread.

Beasy wasn't too bad, he was simply too small to play KPP and lacked a bit of mobility. I'll never forget the one-handed mark he took against St Kilda at Telstra Dome in 2002. Leapt and reached out with one hand and the ball just stuck. I always thought the mark was underrated.

Davies played 41 games for Carlton, including a few games that stick in the memory such as his tagging of Harvey and those 3 goal highlight reel games against Collingwood:

Beasy, the last of our 2000 selections, only played the 13 AFL matches;

Yeah i seen some nice grabs he did,but since he stuffed his shoulder,i heard that ended him plus Pagan never gave him a good run as a defender or forward.

Christoph, I didn't give MC Mansfield the kiss of death, rather desperate to find some upside with him after trading away, yet again...
