It better not be the same boom-ba camp that Lance used to attend annually, if it's true. |

Interest Comment in "Have your say" Quote: Nick Stevens at a health retreat?? What a joke!! he is at a boxing gym. I work out there and he is getting flogged doing 6 hours a day boxing. If that is considered a health retreat the reporter must have been trained by the French Foreign Legions. The facts right please

Nathan Carroll has been there as well boxing in Warnambool, and he commented Stevo was training there. This is seemingly very off base. |

I find it strange that he didn't get the thumb repaired last year during his time on the sidelines. Anyway, why would he need injections last year if he wasn't playing? http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865 ... 11,00.html |

Going under the knife is always a last resort as that part of your body will never be the same once it's cut open, regardless of the outcome. |

I see you read the article as well tb3 Not sure how we can find negatives in Stevens going away for a week to help prepare for the upcoming season. |

The only negative I can come up with is that Stevo should not be coming back from off season where he needs to do extra fitness work to ensure he can keep up with the rest of the group. |

Is there any evidence to suggest he's come back needing extra fitness work? The article only says its part of a varied build up. It mentions its not a fat farm scenario we sent Whitnall on. |

I have a friend who is a Surgeon and he is adamant that Stevens will be lucky to see out the season. Has said that when an injury like this happens it is virtually degenerative and is never as strong as before. He also commented that a knock in the right position could cause serious problems. The fact that he is now on a limited program suggests he could be right. |
