We have some really good and unassuming young guys at Carlton who represent our club off the field very well

At the races on Saturday people everywhere -a fine young man minding his own business with his mates was spied by a young Dardew - after putting his bet on was asked for a photo -after being somewhat embarrassed about being recognised was very happy to have a photo taken with the young Dardew and kept smiling even when the young Dardews friend took about twenty minutes to take the photo and still couldnt until the old boy with the oxygen takes took over and took the happy snap - he was very polite to all
A fine lad is Matthew Kreuzer and at 19 an ambassador of our club- saw him later in the day and whilst there were loads of people his age who were very untidy at that stage he was obviously enjoying himself but well in control and conducting himself impeccably.

Others of our crowd came in with Marc Murphy who was also polite and happy to talk to anyone.Marc is often "stalked"(in the nicest sense of the word) at Doncaster shopping town by groups of young 14-15 year old girls wanting photos and he is very obliging and understanding

Also others in our crowd were on the train with Andrew C who was and is always happy to chat with supporters and was friendly and warm to those wanting to engage him in a chat.

These stories never make good reading in the press but the next time we see an adverse one in the paper we should balance against the 99% of the time these guys conduct themselves exceptionally

*Waits for Melvey to find something negative about our young players being approachable*

Is it fashionable to bring up Melvey in a thread he isn't even involved in ?Or are people just trying to look smart?

Baiting him and then complaining about him is just silly.....

However, good read frank. :)

Yep, I'm trying to be smart and fashionable.

Agreed Frank, good to read.
Sorry if my frustration at having sour-pusses dump on every positive thing about the club spilled into your thread.

So you should. Never any pessimism in here, at all.

Not a skerrick.

Ok. Maybe a skerrick.

What does skerrick mean?

FTR, I'm with you - sometimes you are reading a decent thread just waiting for some downtrodden midget to piss all over it. And I unlike a lot of others have trouble ignoring such.
