Hi all

Surely, and seriously I'd love to think there's a way we can rename Visy Park back to Princes Park whilst giving full and due credit to one of our ground sponsor.

My thread subject line isn't the best option, but surely there's a way we could re-name our oval Princes Park again but still make it obvious that Visy's a major sponsor?

Um, feel free to wack a few throw away suggestions here for sure, but maybe if we come up with a serious alternative, we can go back to the way things should be, at least in terms of the name of our beloved home ground!

Cheers

Rich

I like Visy Park.

It reminds me of the enormous contribution Richard Pratt made in our desperate hour of need.

Relax, all Bluebaggers will know it at Princes Park. Visy Park is a small concession we should all be glad to make to Dick in appreciation for what he has done for the club. 8)

Yeah, nah.

I never called it Optus or MC Hammer, but Dick's a great Carlton man and the 17th flag that we'll all enjoy like few others will be a direct result of his involvement in our hour of need.

So I'll be making an exception and calling it Visy Park.

Don't know about renaming Princes VISY Park, but think I might have a suggestion for our next membership slogan.

Veni, Vidi, Vici......VISY.

I came, I saw, I conquered, Easy - CARLTON. :-D

If Victoria Park were our tradition I would have thrown it away decades ago

King Dick Park, that way we acknowledge the Royal connection and Pratt at the same time. Or, maybe, just to piss off the District Cricket Umpire Basher we could rename Princes Park to Cheap Cardboard Park.

Isn't Agro's backyard already named that? I think he has a sign up, approval from the local council and everything.
