Hopefully the MC are formulating plans B, C, D, etc. just in case one or more our prime game winners goes down with a serious injury.

How would we be able to kick match winning scores if the big Fev suffers a serious injury?

Thoughts...

Kreuzer or Harts.

Early tip would be Harts, the kid can play, hopefully 2009 he will turn it on.

B.........Browne.............Jamison.................Thornton

HB.......Scotland..........Bower....................Grigg

C.........Stevens.............Gibbs...................Hadley

HF.......Walker.............Waite.....................Cloke

F.........Betts..............Kreuzer..................Houlihan

R.........Warnock..........Murphy..................Judd

Int Simpson Carrazzo Armfield Hampson
EM Wiggins Russell O'Halpin Fisher

I would put Kreuzer 1 out in the goal square and have Betts and Houlihan rove off him. More Walker up into the forward line and play Waite at CHF and Cloke as the 3rd tall option.

I strongly believe Cam Cloke can make it as a key forward, especially if the task is put to him as it would be if Fev was out. He's got a big leap and very good hands, and a big heart. Watch round 21 at the Gabba and the signs are there. A long way to go but he's still very young for a KPP. Theres potential there.

And other than that, I believe Kreuzer is a long term key forward. I believe the MC are thinking this way too, with Warnock and Hammer the rucks. Kreuz can take rucking duties in the forward line. If he is developed into a Key forward, he will be one of the toughest match ups in the AFL.

Theres also the option of Waite forward, but I would only do this if Austin comes on next year and can really step up.

And Walker can play as a very versatile forward, plays tall and small, and one of Hartlett or Edwards could come in. Would be stupid to keep them both on the list and not give them another chance wouldn't it?

I'd actually be very interested to see how we would go with Fev out. I'd be shattered if it happened of course, however I believe it could bring out the best in a few players as they would have to stand up. Obviously we wouldn't be too "fev-centic" if he wasn't playing. But obviously he's one of the best forwards to play the game and it would be a huge loss. Would take the team a while to get used to him not being there

If he was given another contract, why wouldn't we play him? I'd be more shocked to keep him and Hartlett and then just have them sit in the 2's and not get any more chances. That would be

think the blues will pick a key forward with pick 6 to help our forwards.
but we have cloke, waite, hartlett but i think we may see the magic of kreuzer playing forward all year with warnock and hampson sharing ruck duties.

Surely we must pick the next best player with our pic. We have gone down this track before with disastrous results.

Phew. You were getting way too positive at one stage there, and had us worried.
