Occasionally the site just 'loses' all the information, and the prior version of the page needs to be reinstated. The techies cant tell me why, but it only seems to happen when one particular user (this particular writer) edits a page!

All fixed now. Go Culpitt.

IIRC Peter Dyring ( 1 game ) in '67 (?) could also be listed.

Peter L Drying was an Under 19 player at Carlton in 1966-67 (he could have also been in 1968 -born 1950?). Our records have him as the Under 19 captain in 1967. He was recruited from Hawthorn 4ths on April 22, 1966. We have no record of Dyring playing a senior game.

He was listed in the Carlton Senior list (1st & Reserves) in 1966 as 43 (on 7/5 off 11/6) & 38 (on 20/8 off 13/9), in 1967 as 49 (on 22/4 off 20/5) & 52 (on 12/6) and in 1968 as 51 (on 15/4).

In 1967 he was listed on Carlton's Supplementary list at the beginning of the season and in 1969 he was listed under to be considered when avaliable.

murraycray, if you have any additional information or memories, please contact us via PM at this address.

The illustrious number 52 was worn by my cousin in 1968. I think he had previously been under 19's Captain. I was in Darwin so did not see him play but have been told that he was a hard "in and under type" who was pretty good value until he broke his leg quite badly.

We called Peter at home today to clarify the story - a cold call, like good old investigative journalists.

Peter confirmed he'd never played a senior game for Carlton, but played 30 odd reserve games and was under 19s captain in both 66 and 67.

Interestingly his first U19s game at Carlton was shared with Doull and Walls!

We'll touch base with Peter again and create a Blueseum page for him.

Did you add D Glascott his on the footy record August 16 1980 page 33,must be David? in today's commodore cup teams from Carlton vs Essendon*. His number is 52,Kourkoumelis 53, Alan Hamilton 54 Stan Gilday 55.

I used to buy some of the old footy records on ebay, this one has Greg Wells on the front cover, pity this footy record isn't a clean one without someone drawing on it.

Thanks Rambo; we've updated the site.

Shane Freeman was listed under No. 52 from March 29 (named in the best player twice and also 2 goals (listed in best 6 players and/or goal scorers 4 times) and was replaced by David Glascott from June 15 1980 and he was still listed at August 30.

While Greg Cowling was listed as No. 51 form March 29 and was by David Glascott from April 19, who was replaced by fellow Thomastown player Greg Kazuro on May 17 and replaced by Neil Woods (from Croydon) on August 30.

Upshot is that Glascott now formally added to guernsey 52.
