Have checked most of the threads but can't find any that relate specifically to when we're likely to see the delistings start. From memory, Carlton has been pretty good over the last few years at letting players know where they stand immediately after their season finishes. Anyone close enough to the club know when the speculation is likely to replaced with substance? Note: This isn't a thread about who should be delisted... there are enough of them already ... |

My understanding is there won't be any announcements until after trade week. Regards Cazzesman |

Clever move. You never know, someone could've been mightily impressed with Acklands late season goal hauls. ![]() |

Thanks for the info. Interesting strategy to adopt by the club, they must feel that some of the outsiders at the club might have some trade value. Still there must be a few players that will have a pretty nervous September/october. Just for interest sake, was there some perceived flaw in letting players know as soon as the season finished. I wonder if it is because the last few years we have had early draft picks and we knew that we could pick a certain type of player to cover a certain type of weakness, but this year we're not too sure what is going to be left by the time it gets to us... |

Announcing the delisted players after the trade period means nothing. Players and their managers know now whether they have been delisted. Managers speak to other clubs and the clubs know which players from other teams have been delisted. There are not too many secrets in football. |

The name of this thread is sort of sinister... haha sounds REALLY keen to see some culling of the list... "When does the hitting start?" |

There are not too many secrets in football. Exactly. Agents will be talking to other clubs now. They will also know if they've been culled or are just going to be 'shopped'. |
