The 4th placegetter Brad Smith was on the Eagles list and I think they drafted him with the pick (57) we gave them for Callum Chambers. |

Probably time to rename the Sandover Medal in honour of the out and out champions who have won it over the years. I mean its fair enough for the Liston Trophy to be awarded to the VFL Best & Fairest. But I reckon blokes like Haydn Bunton Snr and the likes really shouldnt be on the same list as the winners of the past few years |

Simon Rosa was 5th, brother of Matt, and ex Carlton VFL top up player. |

Add that to Brett Johnson's 2nd in the Liston and you can see a rich history of Carlton recruits who aren't quite AFL. Hopefully Diamotism keeps this in mind before opening the Ben Mathews or Ken McGregor thread. |

Just think... Cory McGrath - Luke Livingston - Tim Fleming Trent Sporn - Ian Prendergast - Jordan Doering Ross Young - Brett Johnson - Callum Chambers Adam Pickering - Andrew Merrington - Brett Blackwell Troy Longmuir - Digby Morrell - Stephen Kenna Cain Ackland - Jimmy Plunkett - Jon McCormick FROM: Blake Campbell - Michael Stinear - Callan Beasy Adrian DeLuca - Dylan McLaren - Ricky Mott That's a fearsome side of blokes who can really play footy... Just not at AFL level. |

The guy who finished first is more interesting. 21 yo small forward kicked 75 goals or so. Hayden Vaneltine I think - saw it on foxtel. If only I knew of a club in need of a small forward who can kick goals...umm, let me think |

Quote: Cory McGrath - Luke Livingston - Tim Fleming
Trent Sporn - Ian Prendergast - Jordan Doering Ross Young - Brett Johnson - Callum Chambers Adam Pickering - Andrew Merrington - Brett Blackwell Troy Longmuir - Digby Morrell - Stephen Kenna Cain Ackland - Jimmy Plunkett - Jon McCormick FROM: Blake Campbell - Michael Stinear - Callan Beasy Adrian DeLuca - Dylan McLaren - Ricky Mott Excellent compilation. Some good honest footballers in that lot. You know - getting off topic a bit - but Livo's form in the u-18's is similar to that of Hurley's. Livo was very, very good at junior level and could also go forward and take a grab. Taking him at Pick 4 didn't seem such a crazy idea back then - we needed a replacement for SOS...he was a composed, intelligent footballer . |
