i could be reading this entirely wrong (it has been known to happen). gibbs was playing half back tagging roles while bentick was in the midfield rotation early in the year and when bentick goes out of the team gibbs moved into the middle. since bentick has returned gibbs has again basically been removed from the centre square. is this a coincidence or does ratten have a preference for bentick in the square or is it purely that bentick has no versatility and has to play on ball. or am i reading the situation entirely wrong. i am puzzled by the coaches reluctance to play gibbs as a midfielder. this is not meant as a slur on bentick i love his in and under work and hard tackling i just noticed that when he is in the on ball set up seems to change quite alot. |

It's because Gibss is one of our best users of he ball and plays a similar role to Hodge setting up off half back. The major problem we have is the Hawks have a few players who can play that role off of half back. We have one and that is Gibbs |

i'll give you scotto. I said to a mate of mine we is pretty important player for us Carrots could have done a shut down job on any of there midfielders but with the pressure we were under last night Carrazzo's poor kicking would have added more to the many turn overs |

I think we were missing Carrots ability to run to the right position and then hit targets up the field as well as Scotland's run out of defence. |

Carrots ability to hit targets up the ground..... YOUR DREAMING!! the pressure we were under last night Carrots was better served in the stands and could have saved seat for Stevo |

i was more talking about how gibbs may have had to play flank because of their absence rather than their worth to the team. |

..bloody hell, how many times a game do you actually reckon carrots turns it over on avg.? ,, he gets plenty of ball cos he knows where to run, and cos he doesn't stop running.. ..one of our fittest, hardest runners.. ..his ability to get/win the ball should never be under-estimated.. ..simply, when he has the ball the opposition don't.. ..still easily in our best 22.. ..make of that what you will.. |
