Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere ( possibly by me ) but ill ask again.

Which membership is best for reserved seating at all Carlton games ( home or away ) and more importantly which membership gives us priority access to finals tickets when the Blues play?

Currently am a Carlton FC Premium gold member, is it worth getting an AFL club support membership, is that better for finals tickets?

Appreciate any feedback

I doubt you'd have a problem with your current membership Hollywood.

I think Social Gold is the best option for GF tickets, but Geelong and a few other clubs have 'September Members' which is a guaranteed GF ticket for you if, in their case, the cats make it. Costly though I think...

We'd probably introduce something similar over the next few years...

Those of you that don't have Premium Gold Membership...

...I'd start saving up now for next year. ;)

(or put in your Christmas present requests now!)

Collingwood have a special category that offers guaranteed GF tickets, and your money back if they actually win.

I'm suprised you're even thinking about finals next year based on your tipping in Carlton games this year Hollywood

Going by your recent interpretations on how our team will go, I would have thought we would end up on the bottom next year, with no wins, and a percentage of about 6.2%

nice one Mil... fair point too. Next season i EXPECT finals....
Im tipping we will win about 13 games next season... and lose 9.
I love the Carlton footy club and have been paying good money to support the club since 2000... and heaven knows they have been some poor seasons. Now that we are on the brink of becoming a top team again... i want to ensure im getting the right membership to ensure i get to watch the Blues pay back all the teams and supporters that nailed us and took the p*ss out of us.
THIS TIME AROUND WHILE WE ARE UP AND PLAYING GOOD FOOTY I WILL BE THE COCKIEST BLOKE AROUND.

I believe AFL Full Membership Carlton Club Support gets you into the all finals including the Prelim.
But not the Grand Final.
It used to, on a first come first served basis, but the money hungry AFL changed that now you have to book and pay a premium to go.
They didn't drop the price of the AFL membership which used to include the Grand Final.
I may be wrong, hope so.

Full AFL membership does get you into the GF, subject to availability ie there are more full members than seats. Priority goes to the club support members that are playing in the GF (maximum of a certain percent of the allocation though). What this all means is that if you are a full AFL Carlton Club support member, and Carlton are playing in the GF, you are guaranteed entry, without it actually being guaranteed :?

I definitely think a geelong membership is best value for the finals this year.

A September Member membership at Geelong is an additional $250 on top of your normal membership. Pricey if they don't make it but priceless when they do. My partner (Geelong fan) and I have held September Memberships since they were first introduced by the club in 2005. A lot of people dropped theirs for 2007 after Geelong's disappointing showing in 2006 (fools & non-believers) and for 2008 there was a waiting list. When you go week in and week out to all the games the last thing you want is not to be able to go the GF if your team makes it. Knowing we were guaranteed a ticket was such a relief. That's why despite Carlton not doing so well in recent times we have maintained our Social Club Gold Memberships because you just don't know what will happen and when it does I don't want to be one who misses out.

And then on top of that $250 you also have to buy your guaranteed GF ticket, right?

That's right Bluehammer. It's a costly exercise but we think it's worth it.
