On top of the gold medals & the fact that he drinks at the pub I went to as a Uni student...... he was on MMM this morning & got a call from Stevo & Fev. Turns out the world's best pole vaulter is a bluebagger & will be at training this friday at 11am. Stevo said Fev only needs 8 kicks & he'll get the ton. Fev said he won't get it coz he's going to line up on Buddy instead to get the 100 kicked on him ![]() PS - Too hard to find the famous Carlton supporters thread. ![]() |

I was looking for that thread too!!! ![]() When he was interviewed after his gold medal win he said his number 1 sporting dream was to kick the winning goal for Carlton in a Grand Final whilst we were 5 points down to bring home the flag. He then finished by saying that winning gold at the Olympics came a good second to that. He’s a champ and his effort at the Olympics were unbelievable! |

Actually I was meaning to hook up a post about this. After his gold, I read a snippet in the paper about Hooker after he won his gold that went a little like this: 'After winning Gold, Hooker was asked if he has wanted to win Pole Vaulting Gold when he was a kid. "When I was a kid, my dream was to kick the winning goal after the siren in the Granny for the Blues!"' No Gold medal dreams for Hooker as a kid - just wanted to play for the Blues! |

I agree. Good luck to Buddy trying to kick around the man on the mark when he's swinging around on a pole 5m above the ground. ![]() |
