Will confirm with the Stats Guru but that is a huge record - we equalled it earlier in the yuear with 30 v. Port but 32 takes the cake

Yes it is a record for a win from as far as the largest 3/4 time deficit. The PA game Rd 11 equalled the 1942 IIAC.

The above page will verify the question. Yes it was 1942 and 1944! Well done Baby Blues! Well done Ratts!

The original page provided the answer - I'm a bit of a traditionalist and use the Blueseum for this sort of stuff

So, how many wins this year are due to superior fitness? And what happens when the rest of the comp (as tends to happen) catches up in this regard?

while in the end we lost, but i remember a game in late 97(?) where we trailed the lowly melbourne by 49 points at the 3/4 break, the dees kicked the first socre of the last term, a behind, so we trailed by 50 points and mananged to get back with in a point  before the dees steadied kicking the last 3 goals to win by 19 points.

good effort nonetheless.

all these come from behind victories will install a lot of slef belief in this young group for years to come i reckon.

If anyone knows what the secret is for switching the teams mental switch from 'off to on' please notify Brett Ratten ASAP. It might save us alot of heart ache in 09.

Regards Cazzesman

Its actually not switching on and off. Its called progression and is typical of a group so young. It would be extremely rare for a group of 22 plus players at their age to be able to contribute to 100 minutes of football.

I have no doubt it will come. With confidence in their physical aspects the mental side will follow.

The positive is that they are not playing well early and falling away all together. All in all I would say good signs.

I remember that game! Diesel got us back into it - so it had to be 97 at the latest. Rarely been so excited at a game - incredible comeback. Similar to this game in that the centre clearences turned around 360.
