Think about it

The season is over, so a challenge will mean he will either get off (0 points) or he will be found guilty, attracting 125 point (1 game suspension + 25 points carry over)

Would it be better to take the 1 game suspension now and have 25 points carry over for next year or take the early guilty plea and have 93.75 points hanging over his head for the majority of next year ???

I say appeal !!!!!!!!!!

Or does the suspension mean he gets more loading on upcoming suspensions ???

If so disregard the thread .............. lol

If he has attracted 125 points for the incident, he would get that downgraded by 25% for having a good record. Has he ever been suspended? He'd also get a deduction for an early plea, so he'd end up with under 100 points and not miss a week.

He may be given a 225 point rating though. Was it reckless or negligent?

Port's Peter Burgoyne can take a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points with an early plea for engaging in rough conduct with Magpie Shane O'Bree.

Blue Simon Wiggins faces the same penalty if he pleads guilty to charging Kangaroo Leigh Harding.

Sounds like its only a rough conduct charge, which carry 125 iirc ..........

I think he should have at least punched the ball or attempted to.

Take it and be thankful.

Always been a supporter but very lucky to get only a reprimand -fortunate kangaroo wasnt seriously injured given he was completely unprotected

Just watched the replay of that last 5 mins of Q2 ... Wiggins jumped in the air to crunch him rather than making a legit attempt to spoil ... lucky not to get a week.

You guys are missing my point .............. I dont care if he was guilty or not ............ My question is should he appeal knowing he will probably take a week ban in a season that is over, and carry over 25 points into next year when we could be playing finals or should he take the reprimand, play next week and carry 93 points into next year meaning he will get a suspension for looking at the umpire the wrong way ...........

Is that where WIGGINS touched Ricardi's kick that was supposedly a goal and that won them the game and we haven't recovered since that incident?

Actually this would be a ripper idea for a Blueseum special article - games won or lost with a bit of controversy...

Round 11, 2002 - The WIGGINS FINGER GAME:

Round 5, 1996 - The DIESEL GOAL FROM TONY EVANS GAME:

Any others?
