Come on Brett. You can select better and Coach better. You are a great motivator and man manager......next season show us you can increase skill levels and improve your match day tactics. Your direct opponents are outhinking you tactically, especially with your one dimensional forward line. Lift your game. |

Because there has been zero increase on last years efforts, right? ![]() I'm frustrated too - and I want to see a Plan B in Ratt's thinking - but I still think he has done a respectable job this year on a lot of coaches that have a shitload more experience than him. Namely Rodney Eade, Mick Malthouse (twice!) and Paul Roos. Two of those are premiership coaches as well... |

Camelboy - why not just shut down both threads? Are are you trying to be clever by segueing to a similar, pointless thread? |

I reckon we got outmuscled and didnt play the way Ratts wanted us to. No big deal. We will all mature together. Including the fans who have hissy fits after every loss. |

For me it is a bit harsh to criticise Ratts for today. I still am not sure about him but he didn't have a lot to work with and was forever plugging holes. He has given certain players a fair go this season to prove their worth and he will be able to decide then on their futures. There just have not been enough players pushing for spots yet. Hopefully that will change next year. A good side today showed our deficencies. Big preseason for Ratts, has to make some tough decisions on some players and keep turning over the list to get some depth. I am however disappointed with him not keeping Fev in line, it will bite him on the backside in the future? |

Not having a go at Ratts coaching, hard to judge, but selection has been awful. Far too conservative, and mind-boggling at times. Saddington ahead of Austin has been done to death, which is probably not enough. Crazy. We needed to roll the dice today, it was do or die. Even underdone, Bower and/or Houlihan had to be risked. The treatment of O'Hailpin appears ordinary, he's not brilliant, but he's all we have to play on the big big men. Who'll play on Brown next week, Thornton? |

You missed the point. It was poor planning (did they have an alternative, Saddington?), and like Setanta or not, when dropped, he was an integral part of our team. |
