Well i just type them out and bang they disappeared.

The stats today are linked cause I can't be stuffed typing it out again:
http://www.prowess.com.au/pro-stats/rep ... de_159.pdf

It's simple today, the Roos are a strong contested marking team who are efficient inside 50 at converting chances, mark -> goal or mark -> defensive spoil -> crumb goal. Petrie, Hale, Brown, Hansen, Thomas, Campbell, Jones, Grant is a tough unit to match up on, how far have we come defensively? I hope Gav has done his homework.

To combat the above we need to control the tempo and midfield battles. I'd expect Rawlings to Stevens, Harding/Simpson to Judd, Gibbs on Wells, Carrots on Harvey and Grigg on Grant, if that fails I'd give Simmo a shot at him. Gibbs and Murphy play against there childhood teams, they will be our match winners today with Walker the wildcard.

Up forward Laidley would be stupid not to play Gibson on Fevola, Firrito is no good at full back IMO and Fev will flog him again like he has previously. I'd expect the wannabe Archer will come across to help, so the Chief or Fisher need to make him pay if he does, on the scoreboard.

I'm going to predict Fisher to kick 4 goals straight today  , yes 4 goals straight. You could see in his eyes last week he had gone as low on confidence as he can in front of goal, he will finally deliver for us.

JR should get the job on Sinclair, our resting ruckman need to score early to force either Brown or Petrie back, that would be a huge win for us.

I hate North Melbourne ever since that smug Carey guy turned up, again if we limit our errors and convert in front of goal we are home by 26pts.

PS: TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!

Early start today, Pete. If MJ is to beat you nesxt week he'll have to stay up late.
Hi from Mexico. Hoping for a big win tonight. The next three games are vital to our 2009 start. As Mrs. Wiggo would say, it's our springboard. We haven't really come close to this mob for a while and I can't understand why. On paper they are nothing. How do they do it year after year??
It's time we gave them what for. Even a small win will do.
But for poor kicking in a few games we'd be about 5th now. It's an area of the game that we have to improve upon. Even Fev has had the yips lately and should be a lot closer to his 100. I hope he kicks 11 tonight. His 6-5 the other week should have been 8-3 and against Port he missed a couple of easy ones as well.
I hope the 4-0 prediction for Fisher comes off. He gets a bit of it inside 50 but he just HAS to convert better to earn his place in the team. Houla is probably going to play next week so both Fisher and Russell will come under the microscope tonight.
And as for the man who never misses, I hope he gets a few shots as well. He is going to be one of the best mobile forwards we have seen. Not as flashy as Buddy but canplay in the ruck as well.
Wiggo to have another good serviceable game with lots of goal assists and a couple of his own.
Blues by a bee's thingy.

Blues by 3-6 goals.

Sounds awful, but I want to compound my best mate's misery by a North loss, after he had a less than happy phone call earlier.

He'll be better for it.

Games against experienced teams such as North always worry me, due to their bigger bodies. On top of that, we (the supporters) always have a tendency to underestimate the 'Roos.

They are in good form and have an edge in experience.

North by three goals.

Really looking forward to this, should be a corker.

I would put Carrazzo on Harvey, I reckon he could do the job and let Russell run with Wells, will take him to the ball. Grigg on Grant. Browne & Armfield to pick up Campbell & Thomas.

They will try and tag Waite and pull him deep. I would play him wing and allow him to drop back. Need him in the play.

Fev at FF along side Kruezer. Fisher/Wiggins as a lead up CHF with Walker running loose inside 50. Murph/Gibbs/Stevens/Judd changing in a pocket.

HF line must watch the run of Harding, Pratt & Urquart from defence. They launch a lot of attack from there.

Let Hammer run with Petrie, has the engine and will win tap outs. If we can match them in this area we are a real chance.

Jamo on McMahon, Thornton on Hale.

Blues by 8!

I saw Campbell for the first time the other day and he is greased lightning. Not sure we have anybody who can keep up with him on the burst. He will be a problem at the clearances so we have to win a few hitouts to our own advantage. Having said that, I think we are doing pretty well in the midfield and they will have to be careful of our mids. Jud is running into his best form IMO and whenever we can get it to him or he gets it for himself, he is dangerous.
The secret to success tonight is for someone other than Fev to be an early target and to kick straight. That'll upset their defensive structure so we can use Fev more.
Petrie will be a problem also. We still lack a bit of height and experience down back. I hope they don't put Waite on him. He's so much more value as a running option down back than a defensive backman. Make them worry about Wsite, rather than us using him in a negative role.

Yeh woulda been earlier grro but it just took me a little longer to get the stuff together ... just thought it inappropriate to start it earlier coz earlier would not have been match day -- and it's all about starting the thread!

Spewin' about the stats, mj .. would love to see the stats for the fullback du jour against our fev .. also, who they usually put against JUDD

I reckon we can do it - with the smidgin margins in the last couple of games against top-8 sides, we need more than a smidgin today to get into the 8 .. we also need the Aints to lose, and we know what happens when we're dependent on the Aints!!

Actually, the top-12 v the 8 this year now looks

While we don't want to over-use Fev we all want him to kick a bag so he can compete with Buddy, who will be playing 9thmond at the G .. we'll know by first-bounce how that's going (Buddy v Richo)

Hopefully another good forward effort this week, Tex and Kreuze to shine. I'd also like to see Murph get some confidence back, he seems a bit down on field lately.
