I just used the ladder predictor and went through the motions of attempting to pick all the winners for the rest of 2008.

The chances of being right (at all) are slim

Until each team plays each other the same number of times, the AFL, as a fair dinkum competition, cannot be taken seriously.

And of course while that'd be great for the Blues, it shows why the top 8 system is a joke.

The 8th best team after the 22 H and A's then has a real sniff at becoming the supposed best team just a month later, on the back of 4 straight wins.

No, if we finish 8th, we'd play 5th in the first elimination final. The winner would go on to play the loser of the 2nd qualifying final (2nd v 3rd). I think I've got those matches right....

If the top 3 continue to win, and the bottom 3 remain as crap, then it's certainly possible that 10-12 might be enough this year.
