Was at PP for a run today & also took a few snaps of the demolition works just underway. Perhaps we could keep the photos coming in this thread as the redevelopment continues...a good way for our out of Melbourne TCers to get a look at the changes.

I guess opposition supporters might be happy to finally see the end of the Heatley, but as cazzesman said in another thread, it's 'exciting times ahead folks'.

Thanks for the insight CK 95

I'm so glad me and little Carlton got our photos in front of all those spots you photographed over xmas.

Ever little pebble from that demolision should be auctioned off or sold as a souvenier...mad if they don't.

Pick me a pebble next time CK 95...and fax it to me.

I'm heading over to Melbourne next week to get my pound of flesh.

EXCITING TIMES ahead

Keep the pics coming

It is sad to see the buildings go but its good to see a new era of cfc progress for the better...

I am one of the unlucky carlton supporters never to see a afl match on the ground due to living interstate...

but however though it is good to see some excitig times ahead for carlton football club and around princes park

great pic's ck95

cheers

Good thread.

The buildings may be gone, but the memories will live on. Every player that pulls on our jumper should be reminded what it was that built this great club and make it their personal responsibility to add to the legacy. That to wear the Carlton guernsey not only represents their team mates but all the players who have came before them and helped to build the best club in the world and all of us who will never get a chance to run out in the jumper with the mighty emblem on the front.

We the proud Blues supporters, spent many hours, games, years at our home ground cheering on the Mighty Blues. Cheering louder than any other crowd, getting rewarded with heroic displays that live with us long after the game is finished. Playing the 4th quarter kicking to the Heatley stand end... was there any better sight in football?

The new Princes Park will be a great opportunity for those players lucky enough to represent all of us true blue blooded people to begin to build the Carlton of the 21st Century. Now is the time that legends of the future will emerge, now is the time the players that bleed for the jumper will make their mark that our children's children will learn about.

Now is the time for CARLTON!!!!!!!!!

Felt the same way when I saw the Old Members Stand go down at the g. Very sad, but I think of what MCC Members have now, and it was an excellent decision. This will ensure the long-term future of the ground, which has to be a good thing now there are no games...

The game versus the Bulldogs early this year was a great way to say goodbye and have a few last photos in front of the Stands.

Thanks for the pics - keep them coming. (The Club should start up a section of the official website to include regularly updated photos).

Lou Richards once said when Carlton recruited Kevin Heath from Hawthorn it was Carlton's best buy since the first load of bricks for the George Harris Stand, dont know what Lou would say now (I dont think even Lou knows) - but the George Harris Stand represents the material symbol of the 13 Grand Finals in 31 years from 1968 to 1999 - lets hope the new redevelopment is a portent of a similar success in the next 31 years. :-D

Cant wait for the redevelopment but will be sad to see the Heatley go. So many memories: Carlton Grog Squad's debut in 1980, watching Kevin Heath give a crazy mark jackson a football lesson in a seconds game, Jarrod Waites mark in the practice match against the, Doggiers earlier this year, the Buzz's mar of the year. I could go on and on.
