Post subject: | Channel 7 and others.... |
I have noticed that it would seem Channel 7 avoids telecasting Carlton games. Last weekend they chose the Adelaide/Port Adelaide game over us (bet THAT was a ratings bonanza) and today they chose to telecast the Melbourne/Nth Melbourne game (a celebration of mediocrity). WTF?? I swear, I am sick of the media ignoring us. As an experiment I'd like to count newspaper column inches for each football club over the course of a week....when I can find the time of course. I can imagine that the Tiges would come out on top, probably the bulldogs a close second. I reckon even Sydney get more column inches than us. |

Would it have been a different story had it been say the Geelong/Hawks game? Stupid television rights. Hate it. |

I don't know about the papers, they have given us a fair amount of representation. remember that recent double page just for Gibbo, plus i read an article by Judd this arvo from todays paper. Not to mention all the finals speculation we got/are getting. And then there will be repeated mention when it comes to the draft, and what will be happening with Fev. |

Once upon a time, every team had an even share of FTA coverage. Even with Fox, given that there are 2 FTA channels covering, and with the ability of the FTA channels to multicast in digital (HD or SD), every team should get even FTA coverage across the season. |

There were no other games on, and they STILL didn't show it live. |

Would channel 7 have re-scheduled?? Not that it matters really, it got me down to the game in person, so I guess not televising it served its purpose as far as I'm concerned. |

No. The Sunday evening game is always a Fox game. |

Well, considering that FTA coverage still wasn't available on a friday night when there was nothing else on and it would've bene a ratings bonanza, my answer would be no. |

Ch 7 is a disgrace. Would prefer they don't telecast Carlton games (apologies to those without Foxtel). But would much prefer Foxtel or Ch 10 do the telecast. Ch 7 is an absolute disgrace. |

The only reason they air less Collingwood matches on Foxtel is because they know that demograpghically Collingwood supporters can't afford cable television... ![]() |

Ch7 are a disgrace of a network and their footy coverage is nothing short of disgraceful. I can't wait for the footy rights to be won by Ch 9 again so we don't have to put up with the trash they continually dish up. |
