Round 17 in 2007 saw the last game of Carlton great, Anthony Koutoufides:

It was a sad day, and Kouta himself struggled in his 278th and final game, but the Greek God and the Carlton champ would leave us one year ago today.

We know we're all looking forward but the Blueseum decided to work with the original author of this cfc.com.au article, Miles Wilks, to commemmorate the career of Koutoufides.

Enjoy the memories!

I DID CHIN-UPS WITH KOUTA AT PRINCESS PARK THE OTHER DAY!
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Sorry. I was just so excited about it.

I see him about once or twice a week. took me about 6 months to build up the confience to say hello to him (and when i did, all i could muster up was a very VERY girly "I miss you Kouta"...... :? Oh God, it's a wonder he still says hello to me).

But he was and still is my hero. Love the guy!

I remember being in New Orleans for the 'Goodbye' match vs. Collingwood last year.

It was 2:00am and it was the only pub in town with Setanta Sports. After pleading (and flirting) with the bar staff, they eventually aggreed to stay open so that i could watch the game.
In the end, the yanks in the bar were so interested in the game that a crowd started to develop.

Explaining the game to them was easy................... the hard part was explaing the 'Tanking' issue.
