In's for Sunday, Walks, Mark Austin and probably Harts. Harts if not this week very soon. All required players contracted other than Waite and Fev. Murphy done but not announced. Waite expected to sign soon. Carltons offer to Fev is final. Will withdraw Friday/Monday and leave until the end of the year. (Carro story basically right). After a Ruckman. Warnock, Seaby and Brogan are all options. Interested in Brown and Kerr. However it will be very hard to do the deal and it is unlikley. Draft very good this year and the club needs to retain picks. Carlos very poor last week for the Ant's. In my view, reading between the lines both brothers will not be long-term at Carlton. Asiake not learning the game. Carlos has attitude problems. Club's view is Just Cordy is gold and worth every penny is is being paid Deal basically done for naming rights of revamped training facility. Contracts not signed yet. |

interesting if true - good to hear about murphy signing and given the f/s connection have little doubt waite will sign. Just leaves Fev. My preference would be to leave it to end of season - in terms of the changes, wouldnt mind seeing austin coming in and waite moving forward. waite+walker as primary forward targets would cause matchup nightmares due to their athleticism and x-factor. - cant see brown or kerr coming to the club. brown would carry too much injury risk imho. Kerr would be nice (along with cousins in the draft) - cant see that happening though |

If the ins are right at 5.00pm you can guarantee the balance of info is right as well. I shoud say given it is a Sunday game the will named as in's to the squad but they will play Sunday. |

Lance, on the naming rights for the ground, who gets the money? Is it split between Carlton and the other parties involved in the building of the facility [AFL, Cit of Melbourne]? |

Not sure of the split if any. However the club is very excited about the deal |

Cheers for this one Lance! Really appreciate the inside info... all of it sounds very plausible. Thanks for sharing with those of us who don't have the same inside contacts. |

Given where the season is at (finals very unlikely) we need to have an extended look at our CHF and CHB options and if either can’t cut it, we need to address this with the highest priority off-season. WE NEED TO FIND A CHF AND/OR CHB! Rucks will eventually be OK with Krooz and Hammer but these 2 positions are still essentially not catered for unless one of Harts or Austin step up. They need to be in the side and play for the rest of the season AFAIC. Edwards is not KP so he is not an option |

its not an action its a reaction Sorry pal, there should be no reaction. ![]() People, insert who ever you like, throw down gauntlets to players/employees/people all the time, it's how they "react" that shows their true value. ![]() |

I hate to say it but AFL is not for the delicate or sensitive types. They need to cop it and get on with it, if they don't they either go through the system very quickly or never reach their true potential. |

Don't think we should go for Seaby or Brogan. And only for Warnock either if we think Hammer or Krooz won't end up making it as a ruckman. Otherwise, let's develop K & H. Also don't think we should go for Kerr. Brown, maybe, but probably not given the price. I don't want to buy in the team. Am happy with our midfielders plus grow organically. I think we have the nucleus of a great team. We have some weaknesses, most of which will be solved by time & strategy (forward structure & rucks). We need a KPP and could do with more midfielders but don't think we need to go & get Kerr. We have already got our big fish plus 3 no.1 draft picks plus a few others we've built (Simpson, Fisher, Jamison, Waite, Thornton). Let's now put our shoulder to the wheel & develop this team rather than re-build it with Ferrari parts. Ok - ready to be smashed down now but that's just how I feel. I've followed this team through the dark ages & am revelling in every single step we take. Don't want to make it via a full body transplant! |
