Many of you will have read that the last time we defeated Sydney was in Round 8, 2000. Sydney are this weekend going for 11 wins on the trot, to equal the winning streak against us of St Kilda (also on 11). (Incidentally both these teams were the only teams to defeat us in 1995). However, last time we won was also part of a wonderful story in our last decade....Kouta's Golden Run! http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... golden+run In 2000 Kouta was at the top of his game, and in this string of magic matches, Kouta was unstoppable. I can't believe it's been over 15 years since we beat Sydney in Sydney. 30th April, 2000...well and truly over 8 years ago. Kouta 39 disposals. Fevola 1 goal 4. |

Wow, I was at the game at PP, didn't realise it was the last time we beat Sydney... A seagull shat in my hair at the ground. I thought it was supposed to be good luck, but the girl I was trying to scruff told me to go flower myself a couple of weeks later and then Carlton turn into a rabble two years later
