I am sick of seeing Carlton fans leave games early. They are not passionate and not loyal and are probably just bandwagon supporters. We could be 200 points down at half-time and i would still stay until the end. Why would anyone want to leave early and miss a great play from up and coming stars like Jamison and Gibbs, or a goal of the year contender from Eddie Betts? Those who leave early obviously only care about winning and couldn't give a stuff about the development of our young players. It looks awful to see so many Carlton 'fans' leave early and those that do should be ashamed of themselves. Next time, don't even come to the games if you are going to do that. |

Carlton supporters who leave early from Carlton matches are just as bad as collingwood supporters. |

Well to be honest, I left early last night after sitting in the car for several hours waiting for my sister to arrive from Sydney. I was knackered and I was cold, so I left 10 minutes before the siren went. Is that allowed? |

This is a rather high horse indeed... 
Disloyal...? Collingwood supporters...? I don't leave early from games because I know if I do a Carlton player will go and take Mark of the Year but disloyal...? And dispassionate...? Maybe they're so passionate they just can't take it any more? Or maybe this is just the stupidest thread ever...?

what crap . I leave early because I can't stand to hear the other club's song and see their celebrations. Why make a bad night worse by then not being able to get out of the car park for an extra hour. I stay until the end for most games, but usually leave when we are losing games we could have won, eg Essendon* and last night. Don't need my disapointment compounded by the other team's joy. |

when I was young I used to think this way, older and wiser now. Sometimes you stay and watch your team get flogged by 10 plus goals other times the hurt is too much and you leave when you are losing by 3-4 goals. |

I don't think iv ever left early, sometimes i leave my seat and walk up to the standing room section. Due to shizen public transport i couldn't make it last night and the last 3 weeks i have had to miss the early train because i can't make it back to spencer st station in time. It's very frustrating because i only have that problem at the G. |

werd Last night I left a few minutes early because I was about to snap an aints feral sitting behind me.

i left at the 23 minute mark of the last 1/4 for the following reasons. a) i couldn't stand to see the rabble celebrate b) i was freezing my @#$%&! arse off c) if i leave 5 minutes early i can get a train and don't have to sit there with annoying dicks yalking sh!t d) i was gutted at yet another loss against the rabble. does this make me disloyal or dispassionate??? dumb thread. |

I cannot say I haven't left before a games finished - maybe I have but ti's been too long ago to remember... But whenever I think about leaving early - I remember both Pies games this year, especially the second match when we kicked away in the last (both times!) and the Collingwood supporters flood out. We were giving it to them. What a great feeling seeing the enemy supporters going home dejected and miserable. I will never ever want to give the opposition supporters that satisfaction. And last night, against St Kilda who we all thought we were a red hot chance with - not a @#$%&! chance... |

I stayed until 5 minutes to go... I wish I'd left earlier though (1993). Bit dissapointed in some last night. My group stayed until the end. |

i stay until the leave the ground after the final siren, no matter what the score, win lose or draw. I hate it too when supporters leave early |

No, they're as bad as Collingwood supporters who leave early. I hate it when my supporters do it, and I find it funny when opposition supporters do it. Truth is, ALL teams have these selfish and disloyal supporters. To me, if my boys are still there, then so am I. Do you think players don't know they're getting thrashed, with no chance of winning and would prefer to walk off and get into a warm shower?? How would the early leavers feel if the players just walked off? And how do you think the players feel seeing their own "supporters" giving up and leaving them? I know I've told this story before but from a very young age I taught my daughter about respect, and unconditional love for her team. She was about 5 or 6 during one absolute thumping and the Pies supporters were streaming out. I asked her what she thought of those people and she replied "They have no character." I felt proud of what she had learnt from me. Having said that, I will admit to leaving halfway through the last quarter of the 1995 Grand Final. To see a smile on Campo's face would have given me nightmares for months.
