What we did: 1. Traded away picks 14 and 30 and Mark Porter and got pick 39 (Justin Davies) and Corey McKernan 2. Traded pick 23 for Justin Murphy. 3. Picked up Jarrad Waite with pick 46 (Father/Son rule) What Geelong did: 1. Traded Clint Bizzell for picks 17 and 41 and then selected: pick 8 James Bartel pick 17 James Kelly pick 23 Charlie Gardiner pick 24 Steve Johnson pick 40 Gary Ablett Jnr pick 41 Henry Playfair |

And in 1999: Geelong traded for picks and got: 8 Joel Corey 15 David Spriggs 17 Ezra Bray 23 Daniel Foster 31 Paul Chapman 38 Cameron Ling 47 Corey Enright And Cam Mooney for Leigh Colbert and some late picks Carlton traded away early draft picks for Mansfield and O'Rielly and then picked up: 60 Richard Kelly 73 Ryan Houlihan 80 Jeremy Dukes 86 Trent Hotton 90 Andrew Merrington 92 Adam Mathews 93 Joe Allen And where are the teams now? |

Back in the day it was just Carlton arrogance...they thought our list was soooooo superior we didn't need kids....they just traded the picks away... |

What the hell was parkin and britain thinking? when SOS and McKay was in their 30's on the verge of retiring, the only defender we were trying to develop was Livingston.
