It was a great article.

He knows who he is and where he is at. He isn't under any illusion about what his role is and speaks extremely well - very articulate.

There wasn't a yeah or nah in that article anywhere.

When I worked as a Primary School teacher, he came to the school and talked to the grade 6s about leadership and good citizenship. The kids were agog, he had them captivated. He then rolled up his slacks and flexed his calf muscles and suddenly I felt very inadequate.

Have you tried calf augmentation?

There's no blinkers on Carrotts ..

This bloke cops a lot of grief for his disposal and decision making at times... but to his credit he has changed his game to a small defenders role and done it well in my opinion, whilst still getting a fair bit of the footy.

I am one who believes his kicking isn't as bad anymore... I rarely see him turn it over badly like he used to. Good on ya Carrots for improving the weakest part of your game.

Every time I see this thread I think it's called "things to look up for Carrots".

If he could get back those lost game, he'd be closer to 100 than he currently is.

Would he be playing back pocket if Bannister/Armfield weren't injured?

He is a very good mop of the ball in the backline but not the type you put on Steven Milne (a quick and skillball goal kicker). Dont judge Carrazzo on tonights performance. Yes he was given a bath by Milne but go back over the past fe seasons and find a Carlton player who Milne hasn't towled up.

If he isnt a defender he is nothing.

I think he is one of our bettter options as a back pocket. Started with the blues there and did quite well and this season has done well. BAd Essendon* game and bad tonight. Thats all i can remember.

He will be devestated by tonight and will work as hard as he can to try and stop it happening again.

I love Carrots. I rate him - I rate him very highly. I rate him even more highly for brushing off the TC and other posters who continually knock him, ignore his outstanding contributions, or even suggest he is just a marginal player. What a top bloke. He has in spades qualities I appreciate in footballers - footy nous, ability to get the ball with the head down, intelligence both on and off the field, humility, and true leadership qualities. Much like his coach in fact. And he is Carlton through and through - like the old days. Thankfully our match committee understand this all well. He is integral to our side, will play 200+ games and (in time) become one of our favourite sons.

P.S. Carrots - hope your mate sends this post to you - Carrazzo is Italian for real class.
