With an extra loooong wait until our next match, thought I would start a thread on memorable games against the Saints, of which there seem to have been many, as much as you might hate them.

I’ll kick things off with the game at PP in 92. Glorious sunshine & a full house – I can recall Plugger kicking 5 to half time, then belting Matty Hogg at the break, then having Doro shifted to him for the second half which subdued him. Pretty sure he was either goalless or kicked one after half time.

And Sticks’ memorable snap after handpassing (to himself). Blues by a smidgen. GREAT game.

Was arguably Luke O'Sullivan's best game for the club...

If we can include games that Carlton lost, I nominate a game at Waverley (can't remember the year). Had a host of players out, Barry Hall was running rampant and then the old SOS to FF switcheroo almost won the game. Probably should have pinched it in the end...

There is also the one on a Saturday night at Telstra Dome (2000?). Scores were close all night until Matty Lappin (who was booed all night wtf, he was traded) kicked the sealer.

The 1999 match at PP (I think) was rather hum drum (Carlton kept a 3-4 goal margin most of the match), however, the win secured Carlton's first finals berth since 1996.

The one at Waverley where Winmar lost the plot completely after the close tag from Franchina.

Another at Waverley where Dorra was switched to FF at half time and kicked a bag to get us home.

And yet another at Waverley where Tommy Alvin kicked 4 or 5 to get us home then walked off the ground in tears, later revealing his dad had died a few days before.

I reckon Winmar lost the plot at the G.

Looks like in the Blueseum that the second one was Round 21, 1992.

I don't have details of the last one; can you remember when that was?

Correct Molsley, it was the "G".

As for losing the plot nothing comes close to " Mad Dog" Muir at Princes Park!

Matty Hogg got belted just after the final siren, in front of the social club.

Had a MASSIVE shiner.

Sticks' goal that day was the best of his career IMO.

Round 9 1995. Dirty old day at Waverley.

James Cook slotted our first goal in the 3rd quarter from memory.

Funningly enough they have been so pathetic and irrelevant that I can honestly say none of their games have ever mattered enough to be etched in my mind as great games. Yes 1 or 2 incidents but nothing that excites or angers me. 8)

Oooh yes, great shot of a bloke at PP hanging over the players race as Hamill walked off holding a #4 carlton jumper in his face.

Great shot.

As I recall there were a group of people hanging over the fence waving $5s, $10s and $20s in his face.
