Next year has the potential to be HUGE...

100 games to Betts, Carrazzo, Fisher, Simpson and Walker, plus possibly 150 games to Thornton.

With Waite and Wiggins cracking 100 games this year it's great to see these players reaching major milestones and hopefully experiencing some success after doing the hard yards through the years.

1/2 a point to anyone who can list the first player.

Isn't Setanta getting close to 50 as well?

Yes, Waite, Judd, Wiggins and Setanta are all in line for some major milestones in the coming weeks. Russell could also hit 50 by the end of the year.

As soon as the striking charge is thrown out we should look forward to Waite's 100th match, coming up this week.

Waite will be the 4th Blue with his name of the locker, after Mick Price, Fraser Murphy, and his dad Vinnie....:

I remember a game in 2003 v. West Coast when I think it was Commetti talking about the young guns in both teams; Waite for us and Judd for them. Judd was killing us and kicked a goal, and then Waite kicked one off the wing. Commetti said something like 'If Judd is the Mercedes then Waite is the Commodore'!

And now we've got both.

When Jarred was recruited he was about 70kg wringing wet. It's a credit to him that he's come this far....loads of talent - just needs to improve the concentration levels and he'll be a star - this perhaps explains why he's so crap at golf. Onya Waitey!

Next week it is Wiggins' 100th and Judd's 150th in the AFL.

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... Milestones

Certainly a big month for milestones, with Murphy, Scotland, Waite, Judd and Wiggins all celebrating big ones.

Next year will see Gibbs' 50th, Walker's 100th, Carrazzo's 100th and a few others...

Not only is it the 100th of the WIGGINS (Selection permitting)

but this week is also Chris Judd's 150th AFL game, after 134 with the Eagles.

Congratulations to both boys - do us proud.

Wiggins Debut - Way back at R5 2001 vs St Kilda

Carlton 4.4 7.11 10.14 17.23 (125)
St Kilda 4.3 6.5 10.8 14.8 (92)
GOALS: Carlton: A.Koutoufides 4, A.Hickmott 3, B.Fevola 3, B.Ratten 2, S.Wiggins, S.Beaumont, S.Freeborn, R.Houlihan, C.Bradley
St Kilda: B.Hall 5, L.Hayes 2, M.Gale, B.Voss, A.Hamill, S.Milne, N.Burke, J.Peckett, P.Everitt
Crowd: 24,385 at Optus Oval on Saturday, 28th April

Wiggo kicked a goal on debut. Ratts and Braddles were teammates not coaches - Fevvy and Houla were in the team and a certain sacked St Kilda Captain who played in more games and Grand Finals for us than them made his first trip back to PP and from the look of it we still wasted opportunities in front of goal
