I've enjoyed the last couple of weeks as much as any Blues fan, but I've been trying to keep a lid on it.

I've seen enough this season to be satisfied we're movin on up.

Patience is not a Carlton fan's virtue, but we need to hold on.

I think we still have too many second tier players and poor skills, but I'm optimistic enough to believe that we have the right platform to nurture our new draft picks.

I see us at the same place Hawthorn was a few years ago. The Vandenberg's and the like plugged the holes until the juniors developed.

Carrazzo, Russell and Wiggins will do the same, but our time will truly arrive in two more years when these guys are usurped.

Wishlist for the coming seasons,

- 2 speedsters to break the lines
- 1 big bodied defender
- 1 more goal sneak
- 1 enforcer
- 2 forward options

yea, we probs wont make the finals after today, which is a shame as we've had some good wins.

Great post agree 100%

Don't forget to add Fisher to that group aswell!!!!

Do we give him ANOTHER week?

Or is 18 possies 1 goal still good enough for a forward?!?

Again, let's not forget the past two games we played like shit for the best part of 3/4s, only to come back at the death. We need 4 qtr efforts and won't be a finals contender til we achieve this.

what what what??? not ready for finals how dare you say such a thing.

We must stay strong, we must stay only be positive and we must continue with Wiggins, Banno, Carazzo, Houlahan, Bentick, Cloke and Fisher for they are premiership number 17

Today's match was a must win. Not because it was against favoured opponents, but because it was one we should have won quite easily. And with North and the Aints both winning, it puts us a match behind the 8 ball.

We now need to win one of the matches we're not expected to to make up for it.

If we want to have any chance of making finals, let alone succeeding, we have to put away the matches we're expected to win.

cloke!?

IMO he's been a very good player for us this year (best ruckman), plus he's only 23

Ok maybe a little harsh on Clokey. He probably the only player on our list with a set of balls

We'll be ready for the finals when we can win enough games to get there. It may be this year, it may be next year, it may be in 13 years time.

Interesting to note that these two teams face off against each other next week.

Hey verbs,

What conversation do you think we'll be having when we meet up at the 'Gabba in August?

Indeed. Means one of them is guaranteed a win. Makes next week an 8-point match.
