Well he got 3 at the time, I think maybe 5 now. It was one of the most gutless things you will see. And no I wont forgive him. |

the carlton faithful have long memories. even now everytime milburn gets the pill, the crowd immediately start booing him. from all the non-collingwood players in the comp, i hate this bloke the most. everything about him just sh1ts me. |

And no I wont forgive him. How could that get 5 today? 10 at least. I cannot fathom how he got out PP that day. |

Indeed it was a very dark day. As well as the Milburn thing, it was also the day Ratts did his shoulder IIRC, which essentially meant the end of his career. No doubt about the intent. He had SOS absolutely lined up from the beginning. |

One of the most intense days of footy I have ever been to, the energy and feeling in the crowd was amazing. I bet Hocking never thought he would be walking off the ground in his last game to that sort of reception! |

I have the same memory as Jarusa. Very emotional day. Everyone was angry and edgy. If carlton had lost the game, i really think something untoward would have happened. I remember Justin murphy was on the geelong bench and was shaking his head in amazement as Milburn The Dog came off clapping. Bomber had a lot to do with geelongs thuggery. Whether it was a finals present for his mate Sheeds or him proving how tough his boys could be, we'll never know. maybe Wallsy could ask him next time he's On The Couch |

I had a few drinks with Simon Beaumont down Lygon St after that game. He stated it was the most surreal game he'd ever played in...whilst I haven't forgotten - i've forgiven...it's footy and sometimes dog acts happen on the ground...but some of our supporters were acting worse than dogs on that day as well. |

Sadly, we have never been able to square the ledger – either on the scoreboard or with a good, hard bump! Deserves it too the filthy scumbag. Lucky I wasn’t there because unlike the guy who was fisting the back of the perspex on the dugout, I would’ve scaled the bloody thing and launched a double front kick! (at least that’s what I’d do in my ninja style fantasies) ![]() Rotten dog, we lost Ratts that day as well and then against the ferals 2 weeks later we’d lose Kouta to the dreaded ACL! The following year it all fell apart… ![]() |

My brother is the sports journo for a local Kilmore paper and last year he did a story on Milburn and he said he still cops shit from Blues supporters just in the streets etc ![]() Disappointed Ratts didn't try send out some payback in his first game coaching against them ![]() |
