Its time to give the kids a go Denis. Your faith in Prendergast, McGrath, Bannister, Scotland and Johnson has been admirable and they are all honest triers in themselves, but they will never get us into a competitive situation let alone a premiership! I wanna see how good Blackwell, Russell, Hartlett and Carrazzo (when back from injury) Bentick and Bryan are with REAL game time. Give Davies and Walker MORE time on the ball. If that means less game time for Kouta so be it. A thread from Synbad talked about players we can build a team around; I think I can name 5 - but please play them in positions that suit their abilities: Thornton and Teague on Half Back Flanks (mould them into the McKay and Dean of the future!) Fevola at Full Forward Stevens in the centre Walker on the ball for full games no matter how many errors he makes. We need high draft picks and we need to trade to get more picks (sorry Red and Campo - even Houlihan?) We need 5-6 picks in the first 25 like Richmond got and then play them consistently! And please, no more 185cm & 80kg draftees! ADL - what has happened? You seem completely lost! You've still got time, but its quickly running out. I'm off to the ants today to see for myself where our next team is coming from - well some of it anyway! I don't want us to finish on the bottom - but I'm willing to have it as long as it brings us the success we are craving for. I love the club - please just give me effort. PS. I hope I don't see Demetriuo or Big Jack this arvo! |

Laguna, i think there's a bit of a conspiracy in best players for the 2's. keep an eye out for Russell, #2, and Blackwell, #13, and watch them closely. They would easily be the most skilled players in the 2's today and those skills are what we need to come through. |
