How good was it watching Sir Richard sitting side by side with JE at the footy again. ![]() I for one want to apologise to JE for treating him like that and replacing him with "Deep back pockets Collo". Please accept my apology JE and come back to CFC. |

dunno about apologising to him..... Although the Collo years were an abject failure, it is often that countries depose a dictator and replace him with someone too aggressively the opposite thats really our lesson, and not something we should be apologising to Elliott about |

I'm glad he's coming back "into the fold", but I won't for one moment forget what effect his brand of "management" had on our mighty club. |

Yeah, if Elliot had stayed on for a few more years everything would have been fine. A brilliant businessman. |

He must be hating Carlton at the moment given we had to rebuild the list his administration left us. We didn't need draft penalties, Jack's leadership made sure we already had plenty. Forgive, maybe. Forget, not on my @#$%&! shift! |

I am no John Elliott apologist - at the time he had to go and unfortunately Ian Collins was the only alternative. But I get a great deal of pleasure knowing that Demetrispew must really cracking the shits to see John Elliott sitting right next to CARLTON PRESIDENT RICHARD PRATT. Thats right Demetrispew CARLTON PRESIDENT RICHARD PRATT Knowing there is not one thing that Demetrispew can do about it. The Boardroom doors of Australia are beckoning Demetrispew and you know that if you want a post AFL football career inside them - you are going to do nothing to upset that little apple cart *post edited* |

for the record, certainly no need to apologise from the supporters/members - happy for him to be supporting us though (and his son Tom) |

We all know how bad black friday was. But the simple fact is that day would not have been possible if it were not for one man. Elliot. He might not have handed down the penalty, but he was the cause of it. |

Elliot's name will forever be tainted at CFC. And it's not just the penalties, in the last 10 years of his reign, he drove debt up, membership fell, and the whole Club started to fall apart. |

I wouldn't be giving him the keys to Princes Park, but he's allowed to support the Blues as much as the rest of us. |

Agree with the "he should have gone and probably a couple of years earlier than he did comments" but ... we treated him badly and for that I for one feel remorse. I'm glad Richard is looking after him and always will even if some Carlton people/members/supporters don't. Demetriou and Collo played us and embarrassed CFC in the footy community just so they can get what they wanted. ![]() I will never forgive them and the more Carlton wins and causes pain amongst all and sundry the better. |

But the simple fact is that day would not have been possible if it were not for one man. Elliot. He might not have handed down the penalty, but he was the cause of it. We were penalised for exceeding the cap The cap is almost irrelevant at the moment with more and more back yard deals done every day - A clubs ability to find a secondary source of income to its players is the only way successful clubs can maintain their lists and lure players like Judd - Thats why Swann was employed Elliott was a good Carlton man and supporters who ousted him were sucked in by the AFL and its agenda to get us out of PP and to protect it's draft and I find it hard to believe that 6 years on people still can't see this . Pratt obviously accepts what Elliott was doing at the time and it's about time some supporters took a look at themselves and had a look at the real issues that surrounded black friday |

You think Pratt didn't know what was going on? |
