Did anyone notice Ratts barracking in the last quarter. After one of the goals he clearly pumped his fists and said "Go Blues" Gotta love that!!! |

Watching on TV, his passion in the box was fantastic... Never really seen a coach 'barracking" in the box before, but he was loving it !! His emotion when Fev kicked that goal in the square whilst on the ground was priceless... You can just see the passion he has for the CFC... Sticks was just as pumped up too !!

Brief interview with Mark Reilly on SEN this morning. He and Ratts were both assistants at Melbourne. When asked if it was obvious then that Ratts would be a senior coach one day, Reilly answered by saying what was obvious was how passionate Ratts was about Carlton, and that he had blue blood coursing through his veins! |

yeah that was awesome.... he basically said it in-time with the rest of us 
certainly much more pleasant for lip-readers than Travis Cloke's performance after nailing that goal... calling Santy over to tell him about it... He was calling Santy "dumb" and then inviting him to an event next tuesday |

My Essendon* supporting other half was right on our bandwagon yesterday. Got quite alot of entertainment from ratten in the box.
I think I rememebr Danny Frawley being just as colourful in the box when he coached the tigers....

Might be premature but it needs to be said. Since this thread wasnt what I thought. Thank you Ratten, 1st year coach and already got us into the 8 at halfway mark and not to mention the kids are comming on fast, Pretty decent effort dont you think... |

He had the worst list by a mile and he made the tough calls on some guys that were never going to make it - and churned the list until the cream came out on top. I doubt that anyone could have done better. In those circumstances. |

Gibbs and Murph were always going to be stars, it's the Grigg, Bower, Russel, Jamo etc players that need the support that Pagan was so clearly lacking. I would bet that Ratts has been to more Bullants games since being assistant and head coach than the 5 odd years that Pagan was here. You need to support and encourage young kids to help them find their feet and learn the craft in the big time. Untill Ratts became head coach players like Russel and Bower were to scared and timid to play to their potential and were dragged everytime they make a mistake rather than given the oppertunity to make amends, this is what killed the development of our kids along with Pagan not even knowing half the names of the kids that he didn't rate. |
