Team?

Campo back, but Kouta may be doubtful, Fev may also miss if the tribunal is strict.

Matchups?

Would love to see Walker play on Cooney, top two draft picks head to head would be something to see.

Predictions?

This will be a tough game, Blues by 5% 105 to 100. :)

According to the 3AW call the case against Fev won't even make it to the tribunal it's so weak???

I suspect (and hope) that will be the case. Hopefully the club pushes hard for that to happen.

The doggies are a tough unit. They might be without Chris Grant, we might be without Fev.

I reckon we can get up, but we'll have to get the jump on 'em. If Fev escapes the hangmans noose they'll struggle with our forwardline. Their ruck division (Darcy, Minson) is pretty strong too. It'll be a big ask for Barnaby and Chris Bryan to hold their own.

Blues by 18.

Will be interesting to see how we go against the flood. I feel that's the most interesting point going into this game. I love the fact footy is back and TalkingCarlton is up and running. :D

I hate the Bulldogs, they always beat us like we beat the Bombers. We are there wipping boys.

Fast movement of the ball is the key to defeating the flood, and young Justin "I need contacts" Davies and The Gambler need to rake in those crumbs and finish truely.

The Bulldogs run is what will give us their best chance of beating us. Clean possession and quick movement of the ball is the key to Carlton prevailing as well as forwards making position as Fev and Whits done yesterday

Well done to everyone involved for getting the new site up and running so quickly!

It should be an interesting game. Both sides are responding to their coach's game plans very well. Don't care how scrappy our wins are during the season, just as long as we continue to be as difficult to beat as we were on Friday night (Grant Thomas really is such a knob - he is the weak link in the St Kilda chain). Harris and Rawlings will take the key defensive posts. Bandy is the key: he has been very disappointing in pre-season so far, and we need our nominated CHF to step up this season.

yeah, if you guys can get the Bandy/Darcy double act happening again you'd be pretty chuffed I reckon.

Yep I think you're right here Deano, Minson and Darcy will be a handful (big fan of Minson), as I was saying in another post on CBN, Barnaby French whilst an honest and hard working ruckman doesn't really scare anyone and unfortunately we have a dearth of ruckman at Carlton at the moment. Minson is aggressive and uses his size well and is not frightened to throw his weight around (although after the Fev incident on the weekend the Bulldogs might well reconsider :( ), Darcy is going really well at the moment and I reckon he'll push forward when not at the centre bounce, Minson should take the stoppages. I think Dennis will go with either Bryan or Prendergast against Minson because even if fit I just don't think Deluca will cut it against him at the moment.

I was actually thinking whilst watching the Bullants yesterday that it would be interesting to see Setanta ruck against Minson because I think Setanta could be the aggressive enforcer type we so lack - if nothing else it'd be worth watching the ensuing biffo, afterall didn't Setanta want to know "when does the F@#$ing hitting start"? Why on Saturday Setanta

Watched it very late on Friday night - the Dogs game that is.

How good is that Mitch Hahn. He just goes and goes.

Grant Thomas is a super coach. They should make him a coach for life.

How's that SB?

Can see us getting over the bullies this week. One thing that really stood out against Melbourne (and would have regardless of the result) was our kicking. The kicking was superb, really long, accurate passes, not aimless bombs into the 50 expecting fev to take a hanger.

With both Fev and T-Bird pushing out of their respective 50s it gives us greater kicking penetration both out of defence and into attack. The bullies forward line isn't that good really.

They've probably got us for pace, but if we can win a clearance or two we should be OK.

The wizzer cup's ruck rules have basically meant that it's pretty much a raffle now anyway when the ball hits the deck.

I still hate the wizard cup.

But I'm glad we're winning.

Just so long as we kick enough goals to host the final I'll be happy!

hey guys great work with the site it looks tops.

a few guys are having problems trying to join with yahoo and hotmail accounts, but i suspect this has been set on deliberatley.

does anyone know for sure if the most goals, gets to host GF still rings true this year? i think its the fairest way to do it, but i heard that if the eagles make the GF they will get to host the final regardless.

heres hoping theirs a bloody cyclone in perth during the game this week, and we steamroll the bullies.

the more practise at the dome the better and 3 trips to perth in one year would suck.
