Watched the game until quarter time in my seat, sitting behing me were Geelong scum who kept saying Juddy get a kick, do your groin Juddy, pop a pill with Cuz Juddy, it was all to much! Little old BM bit her lip until 15 minutes into the 2nd quarter when I told my girlfriend to go and that I would meet her at the bar. In no certain terms i had great pleasure in telling the scumbag boys what I thought of them. The Carlton faithful said "good on ya love" as I left the scene. I went to the bar to take the edge off. I stayed at the bar until half time, 99% Carlton people, so it was all good. Game over, half time, went down to the Locker Room (i am not proud of that fact, but i was meeting some friends there) but the vodka's were going down a treat. Why do I love Carlton? Why do I love football. I stood with a group of probably 30 people, mainly blokes, 80% Blues, 20% Geelong. The banter, the comments, the passion, the laughs. That is why I love the game. The outcome was inevitable but we were passionate, spraying the umpires, calling for "BBBBBAAAAAALLLLLLLL", acknowledging the good, spraying the bad. The second half did nothing for me other than due to circumstance, have me end up in a bar with a great bunch of footy people. The vodka numbed the pain, the night made me laugh. The passion is priceless. We are hanging in there, they are currently the best, they thankfully were very inaccurate and we lost the game. I will handle a 10 goal loss to Geelong this week, they were brilliant. Stevie Johnson is a freak! Juddy was great (just needs support). It's okay Port Adelaide this week and we will having that winning feeling again.
Have a great week,

BM
PS - I swear to never go to the Locker Room again from this day forward.

Good one, Blue Melanie.

You would have needed a strong temperament to have sat through that game. Let's hope the Blues improve next week. Port are a good team, so it will be a difficult one.

I sat through the whole game and believe me, my temperament is nothing to write home about. The beer and frustration did flow after the game though.
