Would all you get off fevs back and stop bagging him. All this stuff about his contract is a media beat up. Its funny how all you bag him and wanna get rid of him without hearing actual quotes from the people involved and knowing what is exactly happening. Fev is a loyal bloke, one of the most at the club, he loves the club, he wants to stay and the club want him to stay. We get all this reports from the media and all of you believe them and then attack fev, not everythin in media is true, none of the reports have quotes from fev or any of the people involved. Maybe for once you actually support fev and get off his back because last time i checked he played for carlton and he is one of the few who has givin you somethin cheer about of the last few years, and we are all carlton supporters so we should support him instead of baggin him and wanting to get rid of him. Fev will re-sign, and be a blue for life.

Steady on, soldier.

Fev is off-limits, but I guess Ackland, Wiggins, JR or Houla are fair game right?

Mate, this is a open forum - people can discuss whatever they wish - as long as it complies with the forum's rules.

Mods - I reckon this thread should be merged with the 'Fev knocks back 3 year deal' thread - I reckon it'd slot in nicely. :-D

Hi everyone, New to this scene guys. Come from another blues forum so I hope i am welcome to post here from time to time. Fev will be around for a while as he is a match winner with his goal kicking ability. When he doesn't bag a decent catch, he endeavours to chase everyone down till the pill spills for a second go. No other forward can match his second efforts. Most will just lay down watching the ball run out of defence and wait for a second feed. That is my thought anyhow.

Here Here Fevolution !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some Fickle supporters around, who love or hate him. They change their minds as often as they change their undies.

I know this is an open Forum, but geez its like a broken record when it comes to Fev. No-one can learn that the media just loves to dig up any crap on him.

Hopefully he signs soon so we dont have to hear it anymore. Oh hang on we will always here the same crap.

If you knew how some people I know change their undies once a week, it would make you sick to your stomach.

We are happy to stay off his back if he stops negotiating his contract via the media.

He let the club down a few weeks ago on the footy show when he aired his demands.

I agree we will always get more or the same on TC - and for the record I love Fev, and would hate for him to leave... I've been following him since we was bagging goals in the ressies. I don't think he will leave either - it's just a matter of when he signs, how much for and for how long...

...as far as a broken record, you can say the same for all the people i mentioned in my above post - Fev should be no different than them.

Whether we like it or not, this is the nature of internet forums, not everybody is going to agree and healthy discussion in regards to players is what I visit TC for...

I understand where you are coming from however, the reaction to Fevola is understandable given his dumb on and off field behaviours over the past years. Sadly they have all been there for all to see. It is up to Fev to prove the doubters wrong by being more consistent in his contributions to improving the performance and reputation of CFC on and off the field.

I personally don't like to bag any Carlton player that plays for the Blues. (this excludes Ackland)

The one thing that is off limits as far as I am concerned is the crap that has been spewed out in the Fev thread where poster's are quoting comments (opinions) from journos as quotes from Fev. The very title that states Fev rejects 3 year deal is a classic of this; as far as I know there hasn't been a deal made. The only thing we know is that an offer has been made to fev and terms have not been agreed to as yet, this does not mean it has been rejected, it could simply mean that there are clauses that need clarifying or options added to protect both parties.

I have always thought that Carlton supporters were civilized and perhaps more intelligent than the likes of Pies or Tiger supporters, but some of the people on this site are begining to errode the thoughts I have. The good part I suppose is that there are quite a few that re-enforce that thought.

The only people I want off Fev's back are the opposition backmen, who are all over him - but he never gets a free kick.

We don't chnage our minds Fevola. At least I don't - Fev has an amazing talent and is capable of turning a game. An absolute superstar. But he comes with baggage.

Why the hell would we hang shit on Fev just for the sake of it?

Don't you think that those of us who are critical of Fev for his antics would love nothing more than to admire him 100%?? The answer is of course we would. Marc Murphy doesn't have the football abilty of Fev yet, and probably never will, yet I love him like a brother (DUC loves him like a son).

Murph oooozes class that Fev doesn't have and never will. We don't fall in a heap because Fev wears a Carlton jumper and forgive him for every stuff up . We're entitled to be critical of a guy who has been selfish from the day he walked into the club.

Stop sooking about Fev's critics and realise that HE alone is the only person who can stop the media from giving him a hard time.

One more goal and Fev goes past Jezza.

The Fev haters are going to cringe when that happens.

The very title that states Fev rejects 3 year deal is a classic of this; as far as I know there hasn't been a deal made.

I created that thread, and not to cause the ruckus that is currently going on in there (actually, I thought it'd die like most of my threads do - with 3 posts and 10 views  :P )...

In what I wrote originally, and in the title thread - I made mention that I was only going off a clip from Lateline, and even mentioned that I didn't catch every part of the bulletin. I didn't preach it as gospel, and I made no comment on what I thought - just reported a news article.

The moment a fly lands on a Carlton player, people post a topic about it - that was all I was doing.

Either way I take it with a pinch of salt, like every media story. The only things I really take seriously are comments from the actual players and their managers - for example Fev's little spiel on TFS the other week.

By Fev haters you mean Collingwood and Richmond supporters, yeah? Cause I don't know any Fev "haters" around here.

And for the record - I hope he gets it and goes on to kick 1,000 goals for us with the right attitude - But I don't reckon it'll happen.

Bit tough there Jars. Not Fev haters IMHO more like people who value the CFC and what it means. No one player is bigger than our mighty club. Fev can say what he likes but it's what he does that matters.

Oh, I saw plenty of Fev haters in the outer at Princes Park in the early naughties. Many of those people still do not like him and will complain about anything they possibly can about him until he retires. It is a pretty solid core of Carlton supporters that feel like that, good on em, it is their opinion, but they can safely be tagged haters. Perhaps a slightly less dramatic title would be more appropriate, but that would be boring. :P
