Just checking out afl.com. Looked at the ladder: Blues in 9th, for so long i stayed away from the ladder as it was to confronting but to see us sitting there is pretty cool. At the close of Round 9, 4 Wins, 5 Losses and a percent of 94.99. Average winning margin 25.50, average losing margin 29.80. I must say i am pretty proud of the boys. In getting this result it has not been first class footy, sometimes i seriously thought I was watching the Yooralla thirds, but we are there and I will take it. I want and expect more, i hope for more, but my god its good to be middle of the road again. I wish we were dominant, arrogant and at the top again, but it will come. Next five games i see as follows: Geel W, Port W, CW W, Ess W, Rich W................BM is getting excited about her footy again.
Have a great day,

BM
Everybody needs to be at the game Saturday night, the last quarter last week even though there was only 27,000 , it sounded like a lot more. I reckon the boys heard it, they need to hear it again on Saturday night.

THEY ALSO NEED TO TACKLE, TACKLE, TACKLE AND TACKLE SOME MORE.....

I don't remember being so high up the ladder at this time of the year

I joined in 2002 and have only known dispair

OK - so we're not playing top-class footy but it's getting results, and we're a real chance of making the eight, given the quality of teams we have to face for the rest of the year.

Think ++ thoughts !!
:-D

I like how positive you are BM however i see it more like this.

Geelong = Loss
Port = undecided but leaning towards Port because of home ground
Collingwood = Win
Essendon* = Win
Richmond = Win in a tight one.

I could handle a 7, 7 win loss ratio after 14, but I think we might have more hope of beating port than the Pies this time around.

7-7 at the end of R14 certainly beats anything we've had in the last five years, during which time we would have been reading this as

Geelong = Hammering
Port = Big Loss
Collingwood = Loss
Essendon* = Possible Tight Win
Richmond = Probable tight win

Collingwood = winable
Essendon* = very winable
Richmond = winable

It is the highest we have been on the ladder at Rd 9 since 2001.
In 2001 we were 3rd

Much improvement. Not a champion team yet, but we are headed in the right direction.
