Evening all.

Looks as if Ratts will be the guest on the couch tonight. Might be worth watching. Just thought I would let everyone know.

Ratts:

- Ackland was played to protect the young boys from Charman bascially.

- When asked by GH if we are after Wanock, Ratts said we are after every uncontracted player

- Was happy with Carlos on Brown ("serviceable"), Carlos had stagnated at the start of the year and is preffered forward, with injuries meaning he has been moved back.

- When asked about Aisake, to me it sounded like Ratts was avoiding the question by talking about how he played reserves at the Bullants due to sore back and game time. To me I don't think he rates him, but that's only my impressions from the interview.

- Ratts said the turnovers from half back is what killed us in the first quarter, not centre clearances where Brisbane only scored 1g 1p.

- Waite was unlucky on Brown with a ball bouncing over his head and Brown receiving a handball out of a pack. We needed run and creativity so Waite was made the loose man until Jamo got injured.

- Fev should have a minimum 2yr contract.

- Jamo will be out 2-4 weeks and that Mjonc is upset that Jamo's chance of All-Australian could now be in jeopardy.

Why would you say that when Ratten didn't say that at all.

When asked about Warnock he simply said CFC are interested in all players out of contract. He never said Carlton is going after Warnock.

Didn’t sound overly enthused about the Irish boys.

Does not look good for Aisake based on the answer given tonight.

I agree..

Sheehan asked.............. Is he gonna make it?

Ratten didnt answer.......... and Im pretty sure the same thing happened on Footy classified earlier in the year.

Reading between the lines I don't think he has a future.... I could be wrong. 8)

why would he be unhappy with that? :?

i was rapt to hear someone the calibre of diesel had come back to help and i was so happy he saw the same weaknesses in murphy that i saw and that he was willing to help out. perhaps ratts didn't like him going ppublic with it but i didn't think diesel gave away too much anyway, in fact he didnt even answer the question about what he would try to improve in judd.

He wasn't unhappy, just thought it would of been better if discussed before it went to publication. Ratts was very happy with Diesel working with the young kids skills.

The contrast between Mark Harvey's performance and Ratten's could not have been any more stark. Okay, to be fair, Ratts was given an armchair ride comparatively, but when questioned about his coaching decisions Ratten had a justifiable and competent answer that actually had some meat to it. As opposed to some half-arsed wannabe grandfather statement that Harvey kept on giving during his 'performance'.

Onya Ratts, still getting one over the Bombers even off the field.
