that article makes me worried gibbs could do to us what judd did to west coast. i'm 95% sure he won't leave us but why didn't he take the 3-year deal? what's he going to do if fev goes? if we win a premiership, is he going to leave straight away??

Wasn't happy to hear the bronx cheers go up when Fev marked the ball in the last quarter against adelaide. If he'd had his kicking boots on he could have kicked 4 goals instead of 1.3. Ratts did mention before the game that Fev would only get 4-5 opportunities against the Crows .. so going by his score he did get 4 opportunities. I guess there were 2-3 times where he could have laid it to team mates better .. but he is very important for our club in more ways than one. |

young lad living interstate gets called to interstate by another club and is not in familiar territory not knowing anyone and has to find his feet in a new state and new football club and ind new team mates he hasnt met before... i can understand gibbs moving interstate for the very first time when i was younger making the move to a new state was'snt the easiest thing specially in a state you know very little about and not knowing anyone... right from the time you think about leaving home for the first time and living interstate you think about if it doesnt work out and a homesick will i be able to come home straight away... if gibbs didnt enjoy being in melbourne and he had to sit the 3 year contract out it might not have done himself, the club, and the members any good...ya heart just wouldnt be there... at least we know we have gibbs till 2010 now and he is perfectly happy now in his new enviroment.... cheers oz |

I think the 3 year deal was his initial contract. He's just signed an extension to that to keep him here until 2010. i hope you're right, reading over it again it sounds as if we offered him 3 when he first came to carlton but he only wanted 2. in that case, i think it's more likely that he wants to spend the rest of his career at the blues. |

Maybe its just me but i dont think that Bryce Gibbs looks all that interested out on the field. He wont play his full career at Carlton. |

If Jordan Russell returns home, then it will be as the result of him being wanting to go and then being offered up as a trade. That trade will be a very good one for Carlton, probably a key defender or a player soon to develop into a key defender. Its really up to Jordan though.. . |
