Finally!!!

PROS

1. Marc Murphy - Immense, some vital clearances in the last quarter, some beautiful passes to.............

2. FEVOLA!

3. Grigg and Bower - Did great jobs on shaw and cloke respectively, ran and created as well.

4. TACKLING - why couldn't we come out with this intensity from round 1. We had grunt

5. Kreuzer - the guy is actually a rover - brilliant

Extras - Gibbs was special at times, hadley strong.

CONS (i'll have to nitpick to get 5, but still...)

1. Waite's disposal again was poor and cost us. Nevertheless he was great on Rocca

2. Run - we stopped runnning in the last quarter a bit and we generally don't break fast enough when the opposition turn over at our half-back line.

3. Reliance on fev may become an issue - can we win a game if he kicks less than 4?

4. Pfeiffer's disposal must improve a bit. Otherwise he does ok and has a dip

5. The corridor - I just wish we would go inboard a bit more rather than look lateral consistently.

Well, it's been a long time coming and we've been through a lot of rubbish, but at least today, those filthy mugs knew, and knew very well, that THEY HAD BEEN PLAYING AGAINST THE FAMOUS OLD DARK BLUES.

Pros:
We beat the breed.
Cons:
Who cares.

Pros:
Justifies those supporters who put the pros above the cons in the past three weeks, despite the overwhelming negative rubbish served to them.
The losing streak record wasn't set.
Opposition score was under 100 points.
Pratt's speech before the game.

Cons:
Another meaningless win.

PRO: The effort shown today justifies what a lot on TC whinged about the past 3 weeks - when we display effort and apply pressure we win and look very good

The kids again stood up

CON: we still make a lot of skill errors ( but if we can apply as much pressure as we did today these will get covered up and may get away with them )

This place cant unite - even after a win

Pros: Defence all over the ground, the pressure was there. Players weren't allowed to stroll through the middle.

The filth actually had more inside 50s. Just shows how good our defence was. :-D

Pro - Jordan Russell played probably his best game for the club.

Con - wasnt there

Pros

we won, and we will improve on this performance

Ratts' first win. What a great tactician he is.

Murphy seemed like he had more than 22 possessions, such was the quality

Gibbs is all class. creates time and space. I like him close to goals

Fevola is amazing. What'll he be like when he steps up?

Hadley was a player I kept a close eye on. He is one tough cookie. class

Judd, Stevens, Carrazzo...mate I could go on.

Fisher is back. What a great mark and good link man.

I liked some of the 1%ers Setanta did.

Bower and Jamo our BIG kids will be stars.

Waite did a job on Rocca

Krooooooooozer the 3 in one man. Ruck, RR and rover.

Cloke fantastic. My favourite ever game from him.

Banno played one of those good games

Simmo's back

We're a good team when nearly everyone is on the park

We've still got Walker to add to that premiership line up

Cons (not many)

Waites disposal on 3 occassions (yuck)

Russell wasn't really in the game, Terrible clanger.

Thornton can step up the decision making

Some of the passing was too short or too high.

We can speed up the game a bit whilst still consider Tempo footy as part of our ploy

Simmo was quiet in the first half (but great in the 2nd half)

Fisher gets brushed a side too easily (not much we can do about that)

Bower, as I've said in the past week, with more games will only get better and better, and he took another step today. He cops a lot when we don't play well, but once again justified those who look towards the positives week in week out.

I'd like to be someone who can slam the players when we lose and rejoice like a hippy when we win but I just can't do it.

I put Bower close to the top of my pros today.

I can't see any reason why he won't play 22 games, plus finals, this year. He's looking the goods and he's only played just over a dozen games. :-D

Not up for a full list right now but these come to mind:

Pros

- Grigg played in the attacking half (albeit in a slightly defensive role)
- Defensive pressure was fantastic across the ground, and allowed our back six to strut its stuff

Cons

- Pfeiffer has shocking hand-eye co-ordination or vision because everything is a fingertip snatch/effort or fumbled
- Fev didn't kick 10

Pros
- NO PASSENGERS. A very "Geelong Like" performance.
- Gibbs, Bower, Jamison and Grigg all growing with confidence.
- Our defence all over the field.
- Hopefully we demonstrated to the match committee that we don't need Houlihan.
- Hadley is tough and classy. What a bargain for pick #52!! Pfeiffer didn't have the best of days but looks a player and is a great "freebee" from the PSD.

Cons
- We still rely too much on Fev and need a tall option up forward.
- Setanta still looks lost at times.
- I feel nervous whenever JR has the ball.
- Waite's clangers (is forgiven this week however  )
