I just want to make note of all you guys that had the boots into Brendan Fevola and wanted to trade him blah blah blah.
Ive said it all along yes he is a nutbag off the field thats understood... but when the bloke is switched on he is the only bloke on our team that can single handedly win us a game. He is a star and when he goes wild celebrating the crowd gets involved,we lift!
Give him half decent footy and he will destroy anyone!!
He does a lot of chasing blokes down that he doesnt get credit for.
He is the best set shot in the AFL. Great hands, and when the ball hits the deck he is as nimble as any his size.... he is a GUN
Stay switched on Fev and prove all the critics wrong!
Coleman is in the bag if he stays injury free... dont worry about Buddy he will fizzle out!

We all know how good he is when he's committed. If he had the respect for the club and team-mates he should have, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

He's got 18 weeks to behave himself 100%.

A great game by Fev - particularly the tackling and harassing leading up to Grigg's goal. We all know how brilliant he is on the lead and kicking for goal but when he wants to his defensive work in the forward line is just as good.

fev absolutely dominated in the last 2 weeks, his been good all year just had bit of the yips in front of goal before last week. The guy is an outright superstar, our best player yeh thats right i said it. People will say judd, but his played only a few games. He chases, his the best kick for goal and and best kick in our team full stop, just watch him at trainin. He lifts the team and the crowd and players love him, he loves the club and has stuck by us through the shit times and given all of us somethin to cheer for durin the shit times. Wonder were all those fev doubters/haters and wanted him gone r now? Like i said before its amazin that they r all gone when he plays well and they all jump on his bandwagon and 'claim' to have never hated him.

@#$%&! all those u have doubted him, Go big fev u fukin superstar :-D

Go Blues

Any Carlton fan that attends matches would know how exciting it is when a midfielder is streaming through the centre and delivers a pass to a leading Fevola to take the mark. It is one of the great thrills in football. We cannot lose the bloke because of him pissing on a restaurant window.

If he does it again we will lose him and fair enough. The club is always bigger than the individual. Being footballer these days is more than just kicking the footy around. He is a gun footballer.

I love it - so typical. You're either behind Fev no matter what stupidity he engages in, or you're against him.

Hopefully at some point in the not-too-distant future you will understand that Fev isn't an either/or proposition.

Who wouldn't want Fev playing for them if he's focused on the game and on the team? He doesn't have to kick a bag every week, all he has to do is live his life with his head screwed on and put everything on the line for the team each weekend.

You know - pretty much what's expected for every player wearing the Navy Blue.

Have always thought our own supporters give him the roughest time possible. Maybe that's the way it should be, but I don't know of many teams that wouldn't kill for a spearhead like our Fev.

If we have a midfield that can exploit the fact that Fev can beat any defender in the land when on the lead - as we are assembling - Fev could get on the sauce 7 days a week and still kick a hundred goals

there is no doubt about it Bozo likes playing under the big top

Nearly lost it in the third but I think Stevens told him to pull his head in - was argueing with the ump while I think Ohalpin was still fighting for the ball two metres away - cost him a 50

His good is out standing and his display over the last two weeks simply proves that he is an outstanding talent

Problem is he is a goose and the chances are next week he will have a dummy spit and be walking around sulking . He is like a kid that takes his bat and ball and goes home .

I can watch the Fev we saw on the weekend any day and any time

Lets hope he keeps it up - He may need a mentor to bring him under control when he goes off the rails - don't know who could do that in this team

QFT. The old "with us or against us" mentality. Apparently if you show disgust at something stupid that he might do off the field, then you're not allowed to cheer for him on it and hope that he gets his shit together. The last two weeks are exactly what we all want from him, and we rightly push him hard to do so.

I still have reservations and its actually got nothing to do with his off field - its to do in fact with how good he is. He demands the ball, he demands the space, he demands to be The Option - to me that's shithouse, even though that's what makes him great.

This is a team sport - I want him to create goals for the team (take Grigg's, no please take Grigg's) but an argument that says he's kicked 7 or he's kicked 8 means jack shit to me. Yes he kicked 8 and we lost, yes he kicked 7 and we won - so its not just about goals. Its about the team, the whole team and nothing but the team. If Fev can become a part of the whole team , instead of team Fev (and I do not think he means to be this, its just the power of the guy) then Ratts & co will have done somehting the rest have failed to do.

If on the other hand Fev is always going to demand that space/ball etc - then I would prefer to trade him and create a forward line of moving parts - otherwise against the good teams we will struggle, becuase a good team will often hold the great player - but to hold a whole forward line is much harder.

so by that reckoning, North Melbourne should of got rid of Wayne Carey cos he always demanded space and the ball as well?!?!

Sorry but I think your theory is full of holes... did you even take into consideration that Fevola has shown signs of and obviosuly can be the major part in a "forward line of moving parts".

Personally I think his attitude is spot on, why should he not demand the ball and space, he finally has a variety of midfielders that can hit him on the lead?!?! What is wrong with him kicking 4-8 goals a week? If we have no spearhead, whos going to be focal point. I think its important to have him as our focal point and build a forward line of "moving parts" around him.

you would verbs

Carey played a team game (in more ways than one) he created opportunities for other players - Fev tends to be all or nothing - again, and I know you want to love him, but I prefer a balanced side to a one avenue side

can we become balanced with Fev is the question. I think so far we have not got this right. If we do, I'll be as happy as anyone, because I too, love seeing Fev is full flight (read the ghost articles every week, who do I always mention Fev...gee funny that) but I want to see us win more games than we lose, I want to see us beat the best sides, I worry we will not do that if we have a forward line of

FEV

the rest

Funny how Hawthorn came out and said they are not just a Buddy team - gee maybe they are worried about balance too - funny that. But then I guess they got holes in their ideas too...

I agree, we must learn to use other options. If Fev is the right option, then kick it to him-----> best kick in the side and will kick the goal.
Our players need to just look up, see that fev is double triple teamed and use another fwrd option... But we need to set up a structure that allows it.

but we need Fev.....without him, we`ll be wondering who is going to kick our goals today??

apologies to eddie....he is the best shot for goal in the side ;)

Malthouse and Knights both failed to put their best defenders on him, Mr Alcohol.

Without Alcohol Fev doesn't get the yips, he leads, he has second efforts, and he doesn't fumble marks - funny that.

Without alcohol there's a lot of nice fathers/husbands out there too - funny that.

Without alcohol Fev is absolutely amazing to watch.

Without alcohol footy although great, is far less enjoyable too - funny that!
